Andrew Searles said: Hey Jin, First let me say that this part of the VTT is very confusing. We need to make it more clear and intuitive for sure! At the moment, the "Controlled by" field is overriding the other "see" and "Edit" options. Changing this to meet expectations would cause other problems for other use cases. Also changing this does not change the fact that it's very confusing in how it works. I even found myself wondering how exactly all those settings should interact. Ultimately, we want to redesign the token settings area to be more intuitive and clear and it should include what you're trying to do; let players see who the token is without letting them move the token around. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to do this by just fixing a bug. I've logged this issue for us to consider when we get to redesigning token settings so we don't forget it, but I can't promise when we'll get to it. While, making things easy is our focus, we're currently focused on make other areas easy first. Sorry for that bad news, but THANK YOU for pointing out this problem. Ok, but Roll20 has to understand that what they did changed the way it was worki,ng before (the USEFUL way) so they should just try to revert this functionality, or get rid on the show on hover option as usually the person controlling his token know who they are and how many hp they have. For the rest of the party, it's useful to know where they stand. The workaround is to use the aura script for this but it's funnay how roll20 is implementing useful options and then break them for somthing else and consider the useful option is fine if not working as intended and, more importantly, as it was working before. It's really a shame when you can imagine the DEV department not talking to each other at all, and have everyone seeing his own task, and noone oversees it in the BIG PICTURE... Anyway, not the first time, probably not the last....
