I'm Nick, and I hope you'll consider joining me and a some other enthusiastic players to explore this new world! Game day is determined by vote Mon-Fri. We usually start between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. PST, with sessions lasting ~4 hours. Because days are determined by vote for maximum attendance, I'm looking for people with more open schedules that can be available during most of the week. Votes have tended toward Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I hope you have at least those days open. This game will require a payment of $10 per session due before the session begins. We also use Talespire (not required for you to buy, I can screenshare), so you can use Heroforge to make your own custom mini and I can import it for $5. Or I can do a bulk order of 5 minis for $20.   Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. That said the first session is FREE to play, where I'm getting information on how you play and you get information on how I run the game. This game will be hosted on discord VC, use D&D Beyond for character sheets, and use Talespire as a VTT (again optional). I own most of the content available on D&D Beyond so you don't need to worry about that. I hope you'll consider the following when choosing my table: I have about 3 years of experience actually playing the game. Beforehand for about 10 years I resorted to just reading the rules and lore of the game, watching professional DMs play it, and reading up on a variety of experiences. Due to that knowledge, it'll be a blue moon when I need to stop the game to reference some obscure rule interaction or lore, especially with my home edition 5e. Though even then, since I have homebrewed rules I can also just give a temporary ruling on an interaction based on similar rules and just confirm it later. With all that in mind, my personal belief is that as a professional DM, my ultimate goal is making sure everyone at the table is having fun, able to play their character to the fullest without the need of talk over anyone else. The Game (Levels 3~8) Adventures of Galongaia (pronounced gallon-gaia) take place in the continent Galongaia in the country Galongaia Alted. You are (or will be) a member of the Silvergrand Guild, the main guild of the country. From their, you will take on various quests that will take you all throughout Galongaia Alted, then eventually throughout all of Galongaia. Quest update practically every in-game day, sometimes more often. If you guys wanted to do a specific type of quest like maybe hunting a sea monster or some community service to up your reputation I can also "influence" the guild leader to put up a quest for it. Not all guilds are like the Silvergrand Guild. Silvergrand is a very accepting guild that even has Vitamor in it (a playable undead race that can have the appearance of a zombie, skeleton, or spirit). You'll have to learn about other guilds through play, but that sentence is said to practically every member so its common enough knowledge for me to disclose it. Dynamic Living World? It may sound like word soup, but there is a (intended) meaning. Your guild and group have a reputation that can go up and down based on how you act and what you do, and you may have more or less with certain people, towns, cities, or countries. Quests also have an end timer. For example: A quest for a sick girl: "Our little Elizibeth is very sick, and the cleric said she needs a rare medicinal herb to cure it. A white flower that grows on top of Mt. Phrome. The cleric is with us and can make it but we need you to help collect the flower. Someone, anyone, please help her. We only have about 4 gold pieces to our name, but we'd rather have her than it." Sicknesses don't stop because the party would rather take on another dungeon. Four days go buy and the quest is taken down. Eventually weeks go buy and the party visits a town. You notice that you're getting dirty looks. The party necromancer visits the graveyard to make a new zombie... finding little Elizibeth's grave. In this living dynamic world, NPCs can die offscreen and still impact your day to day quests. Quests can be taken by other parties within the guild. The end time of a quest is invisible to you and whether or not the quest is ignored by other guild members or is simply failed is (from your perspective) a coin flip. There may be times where their are two Elizibeth quests and you need to make a decision. You could split the party to do both, focus on one, or go and do another dungeon ignoring both. On a less darker side, there are also "random" world events, like currently their is a trading caravan in the Town of Silvergrand that'll eventually move onto another town. Game Rating (18+): The game is 18+. I am 19 and would just prefer to play with other adults. Cursing is also completely allowed within reason Though this does not mean the game is X rated. At worst there will be a gory description like a zombie's rotten flesh sloshing off as it walks. Sexual content is outright banned. If you want to get with a girl in-game, it has to be consensual, and it will be fade to black.  Attempting to sexually assult an NPC (or god forbid a PC), you will most likely get immediately kicked and banned. There may depictions of the enslavement of people, but this is never  a good thing, and will most likely be used to highlight just how evil someone/thing is. Most, if not all, countries in this world do not have slavery within them. The chance it appears is based on whether or not some official creatures appear, like ilithids (or mind flayers) and they're gith or certain dragons. I do take some liberties when it comes to the official 5e lore, as this world is only inspired by it and is not 1-1, so whether or not ilithids enslaved the gith or are even evil is up in the air until something forces my decision on it (like a player picking a gith as they're race). Bigoted or hateful words or content is also another thing that will get you immediately kicked and banned. This game is a safe space for people of any gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, etc. Not everyone is comfortable with what remains, and that's fine. If you're uncomfortable with anything, please let me know, even if its after you join. Game Mechanics: This game will use 5e, with a dozen or so homebrew rules that add quality of life, such as bonus action potions and weapon switching. More details in the discord server. There is also homebrew content such as spells, subclasses, and races. Anything official is fine by me. I'm not scared of flying races at low levels, just be careful about falling from so high! Feats and multiclassing are allowed. All spells I'm offering though are in playtest and may be changed or removed. The cantrips specifically are some from official monster stat blocks of spellcasters and I'm just curious if they'd be too strong on player characters. If they are, that spell may be changed or outright removed from the game, so keep that in mind if you choose it. Do you have some homebrew content you want to use? Maybe unearthed arcana? I'll review it and try to give feedback on how to change it to be allowed. I'm not allowing homebrew classes or anything that can't be made on D&D Beyond. Spells are going to be heavily scrutinized since spellcasters are already so powerful. With the very few changed to rules that I'm making, I do not expect many cases to come up, but if they're is a ruling question about how my homebrew rule interacts with another or an official one, I will give my interpretation and we can  take a few minutes to talk about it, but I'd much rather keep the game moving and talk about it post-game. I'm willing to make a change to the rules if the players agree a specific interpretation would be more fun or is a necessary change in another way. Where is the current story? We have played a few sessions. The players did a quest to join the Silvergrand Guild by shutting down an illegal toll road set up by some goblins. Currently they're on a quest to explore the first 3 floors of a dungeon, and just finished their first floor. That's pretty much the entire story, so it's currently up to you whether or not you want to start out as a part of the guild or want helping them with their quest be your entrance quest. If you're interested, please DM me (no pun intended) over discord. My username is:  silveraesier I'm always checking the Dungeons and Dragons server (where I have an ad posted) for new players so seats are taken frequently. I will check this post, but not very frequently. DMing me or replaying to my post in the Dungeons and Dragons discord server is the easiest way to get my attention.
