Any more updates on this? The new rulers are great, but they still lack some of the functionalities that Jason pointed out: "Print" ruler as drawing. How would it look? maybe as part of the Linger function, next to the rubbish icon, have a "draw" icon. Default to always snap to X (corner for 5e), divorcing whatever configuration these have from that of the regular ruler. Essentially have the ability to set a default per ruler type or ruler group. (optional) have a default ruler: every time you exit the ruler-mode, when you come back, it'll have the regular ruler selected. Why point 1? well, sometimes linger is not enough. Linger disappears the moment you click anywhere while the ruler is still selected. A drawing is easier to move around and doesn't mess with the ruler. I want to be able to measure things AND see AoEs at the same time, and that can't be achieved with linger, because you can only have 1 active ruler. Why point 2? When measuring the movement of a character in systems like 5e, you usually do so from the center of the token, but when measuring AoEs (except for those centered on a creature's space), you do so from the corner/intersection of the grid. Since token movement is the most common one, placing an AoE requires a bunch of steps: (1) click ruler, (2) change ruler type, (3) change ruler snapping, (4) use it, (5) change ruler snapping back to normal , (6) change ruler type back to normal, (7) click the cursor/selection mode. There are 7 steps here, 3 of which are used when using the ruler normally (without hotkeys), so when you want to use an AoE you're required to more than double the amount of clicks you'd normally. I'd like to remove 2 of them (the ones I underlined), so that it is more streamlined. Why point 3? It'll further reduce the amount of steps required as described in point 2's explanation
