I go to the map token screen to find a snow field background. Once found, I place the snow field on the areas desired. I highlight the all the images, and send them to the back. Next I find an image of a tree, and place it on the new snow field map. I select the tree again top move it elsewhere on the map, and instead of the tree, I have the background image that starts moving. So, I let go of the background and carefully move it back (because Undo is hit-or-miss). I carefully select the tree which looks like it is up front, but get the background again. So this time I move the background away, and carefully select the tree, and make it the front object again. I click on the snow field background and make it go into the back again. I replace it, and move the tree to where I want it to be. I select another object, place it off the main map to the "working area" to make it the front object, and place it on the snow field map. I go to adjust the tree, but I get the background instead. After a successful undo, I make sure the map is in the background, and then grab the newest object which was made to come to the front. I then try to move it, but I get the background snow field again. I scrap the snow field and just go with a white screen (which looks much cheaper and detracts from the presentation of the game. I could of course put things on different layers, but with only two visible to the players, I am sort of limited. If you are unable to fix how the software interprets the front/back setup, then perhaps adding more layers would fix this problem?
