If the word Underdark doesn't send chills down your spine, it soon will. Join us for a campaign into the darkest corners of the Forgotten Realms. We will be playing AD&D 2nd edition. This includes all books except those titled "Players Option". I will be using only a handfull of "house rules" in an effort to bring an authentic old school gaming experience. I am a veteran DM of thirty plus years. I prefer a narrator, storytelling style approach to DMing, with a broad mix of combat, role-play, exploration, and character development. I make a lot of custom maps and tokens and use a lot of other artists works in my campaigns. We will be using dynamic lighting and fog of war when appropriate. Even so, not every location can be detailed ahead of time and there will be instances when I will describe the scene in "Theatre of the Mind" style gaming. I have a firm grasp of the applications we will be using during the game; Roll20 and Discord. You will need a computer and a headset with a microphone. The last item is to limit the amount of background noise and improve everyone's experience. Everyone is here to have fun. Any behavior that ruins that for the group will not be tollerated. This includes bullying, harassment of any kind, etc. I am not going to go into minute detail here. Just don't be a jerk and we will all get along fine. The campaign will meet weekly for many months. This is a long term commitment and as such it will pay off with a rich immersive experience that you just can't get in a shorter game. Please make sure you can make this part of your regular routine.
