How do I access my compendium books on the DM screen?

I bought the Monster Manual and have made the compendium accessible to my players but I can't find the tab I am expecting on the DM map screen, what do I have to do to get it working?

Hi Doctor Atomic! The compendium tab is on the right. It looks like an "info" i. Books in Roll20 are not provided like read-through PDFs, though. The monsters, spells and items are always broken out into their own (usually) drag and droppable items. If you want to read the textual parts of a book, that's generally done from the site Compendium page.  You can access this read-through view while in game by following this tip .

Thank you very much. One more question now that I have found that, I open the list of monsters and get a group starting with the letter A, pushing my cursor to the bottom of the list doesn't cause more monsters to appear, how do I dig deeper into the list?

I believe if you scroll down, more will appear. In order to load quickly, the compendium loads in batches. The next set doesn't appear until you scroll to the bottom of the list.

I'm having the same problem with the full monster list not displaying (I've submitted a bug report). Doctor Atomic, if you go to the settings tab (the one with the cog icon) and turn off "New Compendium" under "Personalization and Display", your game will will restart with the old style compendium which still works. There, when you select the "Monsters" category on the compendium tab you should see the full list.

" pushing my cursor to the bottom of the list" is different from "scrolling to the bottom of the list." One is moving the pointer, the other is navigating past the bottom. Regardless, now that I am at my computer, I can see that neither behavior results in more items loading. Neither does using the scroll wheel on the mouse. This absolutely appears to be broken. You can make a report through the  Help Center Request , or report on the official feedback thread for the new feature. Rick and others have already done so, so the issue should be being looked at.

This sems to be a bug. I have the same problem. I too am switching back until they get the bugs worked out. It would be nice if the new version were an upgrade. The old compendium actually works and fits more items on the screen, allowing you to browse faster.
