Greetings roll20. Today when i joined one of my many games i was greeted by; In the picture feild. I like looking at my user profile and the profile picture of others but found no way to dismiss this. Changing size to names only had a bothersome floating chat bubble saying to join voice instead. I, like many users of your service, don't use the inbuilt voice and video tools prefearing Discord over Roll20. I tried using the use Old UI button but that still didn't fix it. what i'd like to know is how can i dismiss this overlay.
If you're a player in the game and  Roll20's built in audio/visuals aren't being used , click on the bubble to make it go away then set your Audio and Video preferences under the settings tab to "None" for both. Also, ask your GM to turn the game's chat tech to "None". If you're the GM and you don't want to use Roll20's built in audio/visuals, make sure that they're turned off under your game settings:
@Rick A. Doesn't clicking on it connect you to chat though, even though your not reciving the data in the settings? Im asking as im playing on a metered network right now and my data is limited.

If you turn off your audio and video sharing under the settings tab you wont be transmitting any data, even if the GM hasn't turned it off. If the other people in the game are sharing their audio or video, you'll still be receiving that.

Naomi-Tan,  Pushing the button doesn't turn it on if you are set to not transmit (what Rick showed). It just removes the button. Yes, it is very unclear.
