Role-playing adjacent beginner seeks a clue.

Hi. So, I grew up surrounded by games. I learned to read with a first edition Monsters Manual, I've read campaigns and materials for a variety of systems (1st & 2nd ed. D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Palladium, GURPs, RuneQuest) but I never played any of them. Not a one. I've indulged in video games, books, and movies, yes. But the actual hobby all of it is from? Nope. I am seeking to change that.  I would prefer a weekly session, free, mature content is fine so long as it's not an endless sea of horny bards and supports the story--which is one hell of a limiter when you really think about it, text based is preferred because I'm allergic to video cameras and I have this habit of losing my voice when other people can hear me talk. Patience with my utterly brand new self is a must. I full anticipate my shoes squeaking when I turn around too fast for a while as I figure this out.  What is in it for you: I'll take your game seriously. My attitude will be that of an attentive student and I'll not be some keyboard warrior forcing my own point of view down the throats of everybody else. You get to answer ten million questions and show off all your knowledge. And I'm pretty neat when I relax, so my company is nice to keep.  Any takers? I can't promise I'll be any good but I can promise I'll try.

You should tell us what time zone you’re in, because GMs need to know that before offering you games. For example, there’s no point me offering games in Australia/Sydney times to players in America/Chicago time.
+1 Day/Time/Timezone are super important. I run a weekly game with an opening Sat AM Pacific time for the right fit. However, it isn't a beginner game. It's fairly restrictive for what fits my idea of the setting. I have the important books on Roll20 (finally decided to spend a couple bucks after 5 years on here. :p ) The game has 5 players but two (mother daughter) had been away a while while they relocate and find jobs in the new country. So three right now, open to four. I'm friendly, but I only have so much time, so might not be available to answer too many questions. Text based, 11AM to 3pm Pacific time, PCs 10th/11th level, just beginning a new leg of a larger tale. Mature Content = Fade to Black. X-card rules in play (soon to be replaced I think with a more complex stop/caution/rewind/proceed. Players who are not inclusive will not be included. (this will be retroactive if needed.) DM me to initiate a dialog if you might be interested.
