Ok so... three experienced players and one baby player brand new to TTRPGs. The three of us have all played together previously and would love to do so again as we introduce our friend to this lifestyle (cause it is a lifestyle lol). We are very comfortable with D&D Beyond and Roll20. A little about our playstyle: We like to have fun and feel powerful. We enjoy roleplay, comradery, and the relationships that develop over time. We need time to have conversations between characters and with NPCs. Those bonds can lead to some of the greatest story points. We appreciate obstacles and challenges but we're not looking to be solving puzzles for hours on end. We often think outside the box when facing problems, so if something has only one solution we may very well hit a dead end which is no fun. We enjoy creating backstory for our characters and being a part of the larger world. Finally, we're not sloots for loot but it does feel good to find cool stuff after a big combat or dungeon delve. The game we're looking for: We want to be able to explore and make decisions that impact what happens. We don't want to feel like we are stuck following a script. We would love to be able to have the freedom to create/find a home base where we can return throughout the journey. Ideally this would be a long term campaign. Adult themes are fine but there are a couple things we would like to stay away from that we can talk about as a group. Aside from that we would love to see what you have! Schedulewise: We are all free to play either Wednesday or Thursday evenings. We would love a consistent weekly game but also understand that life is a priority too. Existing Characters: We did just try this with another DM but there was very little communication and ultimately it wasn't a match. That being said, we all made level three characters for the campaign and would love to play with what we've got.
