In this land forsaken by the gods, still there are some that hold to their faith. Hylia has her reasons. Surely, it is the legendary hero's duty to fix the world. Surely the goddess herself wouldn't just take pity upon the mortals she has brought such suffering to, and bless them once again with fields of green. Others are not so certain, losing faith in the gods and their ambivalence towards mortal suffering. To the faithful, however, those are treasonous thoughts - it was Ganondorf who cursed the gods, after all, and it was his fault for bringing about the world's suffering. In a world torn by those clinging to remnants of faith, and those pitying the gods' scapegoats, where do you lay? There are rumors that the long lost kingdom of Hyrule's bloodline has emerged. For some this brings hope for a new rule and a new era, and for some it only brings misery, a loss of freedom, subjugation. You have been hired by an interested party to find the surviving lineage of Hyrule's royalty. What will you do when you find them? About the DM: I'm a 30yo nonbinary artist whose passion lies in storytelling! The most important things to me in ttrpgs are fun, roleplay, and story (including player characters' backstories, not just plot). I've been DMing for about 10 years and playing D&D for about 15. I love homebrew and having the players add onto the setting with locations, plot hooks, NPCs, deities, whatever they (reasonably) want to add! New players always welcome! Being LGBTQ+ myself, obviously this table loves and welcomes LGBTQ+ players! Do not expect a rules lawyer here; the rules are here for me to use as a base, something to fall back on, but ultimately we're here to have fun and do cool things. Rules can and will be waived or bent in my games - but only in the favor of the players, never to try and put you at a disadvantage. I'm here to challenge the player characters and be their guide through the world they explore. Sure, the dice gods may demand a death every once in a blue moon, but I'm 100% the party's biggest fan. This is also a space for us to escape reality; my games DO NOT include racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. either in game or at the table. It will not be tolerated. Yes, that applies to things such as "monstrous" races and their societies. There is no "inherently evil" at my table. The most realistic evil you'll see at my table are capitalists, monarchies, and player characters' horrible families from their tragic backstories. Was a professional player in Hp2Xp and isFriday livestreamed games 'Adventures in Umbranthal' and 'Crypt of the Ruby Dragon,' as well as a recurring player in shows on GirlsRunTheseWorlds! Currently running a magical girl inspired FATE game, 'Auriga Stars,' there! (Season 2 starts in April!!) This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of 20$/session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
Hyrule Dunes: Host to the ruins of the once great kingdom of Hyrule, now managed by the merchants that manage to traverse the scorching lands and each town's governing power. Castletown stands in the shadow of the castle's ruins, one of few oases gracing the land. Windfall just to the north of Castletown also hosts an oasis, albeit small. Any other water sources marked are wells. The once verdant lands are now nothing but dunes of sand. Forsaken Badlands: Once thought to be cursed as they sit in the shadow of the Forsaken Fortress' ruins, there has been tentative peace over the last couple hundred years with the monsters from the Forsaken lands. Many of the monsters have forgotten their ties to their old lord, and simply wish to live their lives. Some, however, do still cling to their belief in Ganondorf rising again. They cling to the ruins of the Fortress, and rumor has it there are some humanoids who similarly worship Ganondorf and reside with the monsters of the Fortress. There was once a quicker path to the monster town across the Trench, but when the nearest Hylian town's oasis dried up, the Hylians left town and the bridge to the elements. The Forsaken Trench: Don't go down there. There are rumors of an elaborate cave system, but you'd have to survive what lives down there first. Gerudo Tundra: Is this a further punishment from the gods, or a blessing upon the Gerudo who have always had nothing but desert? Don't be mistaken, however; the tundra is still a desert. It is frozen over and what little precipitation it does get is all snow, but it gets less precipitation than the rest of Hyrule. The Gerudo Mountains, at least, get fresh snow every now and then. Ruins pepper the tundra, and water is difficult to dig to through the frozen earth. Many find life easier in the mountains. Sea of Sand: This stretches out into endless dunes. There was a town on the border of the Sea of Sand, but most of its residents have abandoned it as the oasis has dried up. Dragonfire Mountain: The once towering Dragonroost erupted hundreds of years ago, taking the top half of the mountain spire with it. The crumbled remains of the top of Dragonroost now lay in the lava's old path, and have become the Dragonfall Mountains. This stretch of land is fertile thanks to the volcanic soil, and is chaparral-like, with shrubs, grass, and cacti thriving. Dragonfire is one of the most prosperous regions. Zora's Domain: ??? There are Zora occasionally sprinkled here and there, sticking close to oases. They do not speak of their ancestral home, but there are rumors of tunnels connecting the oases, and maybe even a subterranean sea.
**Gerudo King's Carnival** a (loose) guild that supports the arts. the main troupe is the Gerudo King's Carnival, though the leader is known to support passing troupes. run by Achan, a massive, blind Gerudo transman. he is a talented magician and loves illusion magic despite not having sight since birth. he always dresses in fine silks and gorgeous jewelry - probably more than the leader of a troupe of performers should be able to afford. the troupe travels the desert, welcoming any who need a place to call home. notably, they house a few monsters in their troupe as well! **Chart Hounds** a guild of mapmakers, rangers, and treasure hunters. many lone outlanders are employed by the guild to keep the dunes safe and rescue any unlucky souls that need it. others still are focused on exploration, mapping out the ever-changing desert and what may lay beneath the sand. the Head Hound is a Darknut, Zuza, who founded the Chart Hounds through love of exploring the world. she is quite old now, but she often regales when she first was brave enough to leave the Fortress and how she was enchanted by the beauty of the world. **The Crown's Truth** a group of Sheikah that seek the truth behind the Royal Family's existence in the world. they sometimes hire Chart Hounds to help with expeditions, sometimes hire other skilled adventurers, and will *always* trade for intel. none know where their headquarters are other than the Sheikah themselves, though stones with the Sheikah mark have been seen in remote locations. one of the more prominent figures of the Crown's Truth is a man named Kenzo, though not the head of their organization, as they are a secretive group. Kenzo seems to be high in command and hands down orders from the elders, though he doesn't seem to take things as seriously as most of his fellow Sheikah do. he does, however, LOVE gossip. **The Crown's Guard** not officially anybody's guard, especially since there is no crown. a guild of sellswords that can "keep the peace." some do, some prefer to lord their power over their towns. many begrudging towns pay the Crown's Guard to keep the peace. some more begrudging than others. the Captain is a Hylian with years of mercenary experience, Hawk Valore. they are cold and calculating, but eager to bring in fresh self-righteous blood. **Mongade** the 'monster brigade', often shortened to Mongade. they're diplomats from the Forsaken Badlands who occasionally hire escorts, guards, and guides. more importantly, however, they visit towns and bring gifts, food, and news of the Forsaken lands. oftentimes when the Mongade is seen out and about, they just found an old treasure horde back home and want to share the bounty. there is no official leader of the Forsaken Badlands, but the leader of the Mongade is Mog, a Moblin with a sunshiney demeanor and a sense of duty and justice - to or for what, who knows. The Mongade does also make trips to the Forsaken Fortress, but they seem uneasy when speaking of it. (some, but not all! you're welcome to suggest associations!!)
