Looking for Players for a Pathfinder Campaign, Starting Tuesdays at 9 PM, EST.

“A Holy War Begins – The Kingdom of Killeagh and her allies are under threat of war from the myriad city states of the Anthirion Coast. United under the shadow of a new Dark God, the Anthirions will soon fly their banners from the castle walls of Killeagh unless Champions of the Everlight can stand against the tide of darkness overflowing the land.” I’ll not mince words here, dear reader; this campaign will be a fairly straight forward Good vs Evil story that won’t be breaking any new ground in the realm of storytelling. The players will be tasked with killing a great deal of evil soldiers and horrible monsters, following a branching path that better resembles a ‘choose your own adventure’ book than an open-world RPG. I’m not the kind of GM that can or will ignore role play, but this campaign will likely have a greater focus on slaying foes than political intrigues. The crux of the campaign is a holy war between worshipers of the Everlight Goddess versus the followers of an Unknown Dark God. Players will be restricted to choosing a class that is divine based. For ease of reference, that means Clerics, Druids, Paladins, Rangers, Inquisitors, Oracles, Hunters, Shamans, and Warpriests are the only available classes. Everything else is off the table. Alignment will be used more as a tool and guideline than law set in stone, but evil alignments are strictly barred. Players will start at level three and will be using medium progression. No starting gold will be given, but players are free to choose whatever standard armor and weapons they would like (That means no masterwork or higher). Players new to Pathfinder or RPGs in general are welcome. We all have to begin somewhere. However, any new players must understand that the learning curve in a game that starts at level three is going to be steeper than level one and such players should prepare to take in a lot of new information and skills quickly. I will also mention to any old hands that may apply, that I do require patients from skilled players if a new player is in the party. Politeness and courtesy are of great importance in any campaign. If you are interested, please post a reply. I will get back to any posts as quickly as possible.
2 questions; 1. What will the method of communication be? 2. Why restricted to divine casters?? This seems unreasonable, especially considering a wizard can be just as much a servant of his god as a paladin

Hello, i would be interested in this campaign. I am also curious if this campaign would be using voice purely as i'm more sociable by voice then in text. I also wondered what exactly a "medium progression" would be unless that was the starting equipment listed behind? I do not have any experience playing any of those classes so my actions might not be too fluent in the beginning especially while i'm growing accustumed to them, would this be a problem?(perhaps with the exception of Hunter which would suit me fine if no one else would really want it :)) Thanks Edit: This would start at 3am on wednesday morning for me so i'd be able to do 3 hour sessions but more would become an issue. Not sure if this is plenty for campaigns truth be told.
I apologize for not thinking to mention in the initial post. While we will, of course, be using roll20 for the game itself, however I prefer to use Skype for the actual call and as a method of posting information throughout the week between sessions. As to the Divine restriction; the idea of a party that was based entirely around divine casters was what sparked my whole thought process for this campaign. Of course, a wizard could be a very pious man, but that skitters off the path of my original premise: A group of holy servants fighting a holy war using the power of their deity.
Hello, the game sounds great; nothing wrong with a straight forward Good v Bad! I am interested in playing a paladin, have wanted to play a paladin for a while now just haven't had the chance really, and I have a few character concepts in mind. So my question is as follows: - Are you looking for single classes or is multi-classing acceptable?
HI there, I'd be interested in joining the campaign, the divine based characters sound like it could be very interesting. I'm very new to tabletop though but I am a quick learner, and seeing how pathfinder stuff is view-able online I'm sure I could keep up.
This sounds great. I'm looking for a game. I really want to play a Cavalier. Let me know if this is still going on, it sounds incredible.
Thank you all for your interest. Bart T: Medium Progression refers to how quickly characters will be able to level up. Being new to divine is perfectly fine, and you can play a class that focuses less on spell casting at first like the hunter or ranger until you feel more comfortable. Your time schedule shouldn't be a problem, so long as you can handle the late hours yourself. I've run a couple games where 3 hours a session was the norm. Fabio P: Multi-classing is acceptable, so long as the focus of the character is on the divine aspect. Pending my review of the individual build, of course. SRat: Newcomers are certainly welcome. So long as you are willing to learn, I am willing to help. Chris P: I'm sorry, but Cavalier is not one of the allowed classes, it must be a Divine based class.
Hello, I'd love to play. I've only played Pathfinder twice; both times at this year's GenCon. One of the characters was a pre-gen warpriest and that dude p@wned fools! haha. I am on medical leave from work until december-ish, so shouldn't have any issues making the time. I'm also in the EST time zone and don't usually have anything else going on Tuesdays.

PM sent. lots of questions, info, etc.
Well, I'm still interested. A Paladin would be fine with me. I've played plenty, and love to play them.
Thank you so much for all your responses so far. I have been sending PMs to contact those of you who are interested to talk about details.
I still have one to two open spots for this campaign if there are still interested people out there who have not posted yet. If you have a desire to play, leave a message here or PM me.
