[LFP] [DnD 5e+others] [GMT+1/CET] Looking for one person to join our group of nerdy adults.

We’re a group of 4 people between the ages of 29 and 31 looking for another player and/or DM to join our group. We have mostly been playing DnD 5e but are also open and plan to play other systems. We play weekly on Thursdays from 19-22 (GMT+1) (CET) with a precall starting 30 minutes before. We play on roll20 and use discord for communication purposes. What we look for in you; Are over the age of 25, mature and used to speaking with other adults. Experience is not required but welcomed.  Someone to join our group long term whether you join as player or DM or both Are comfortable with using Roll20, voice communication, seeing your players on webcams, etc. Are consistent and reliable. The last point is pretty important to us. We are four working adults who structure our work and private life around having our nerdy Thursdays together. Of course cancellations can happen, but we try to keep it to a minimum. What joining our group will give you; A functioning group of adults who know each other, humor included, drama excluded. Engaging players who are willing to invest themselves in the joined narrative, roleplay, and combat alike. Four folks who are consistent and reliable. Enjoyable Thursdays evenings with a bunch of nerds involving banter and serious gameplay. Please write a short description of yourself as a person, your experiences with playing/DMing, your preferences in terms of games/playstyle, and how you see yourself fit into the group. We will contact you further if we see potential in your application.
I'm interested and just DMd you!
Hey there, I'd be interested in looking into playing with yall. Schedule fits my weird night shift schedule perfect, and it finishes right as I need to get ready for work! I'm a bit of a goof, with a love for roleplaying and just having a grand ol' time. I've been DMing for a while and have several long term campaigns notched into my belt, but have much fewer on the player side, though I like both almost equally now. As to style of gameplay, as a player I am very much a fit the mold the party needs, with a focus on supporting other players where possible, as when others are having fun I am having fun. I like roleplaying the most, but have no problem with a good combat encounter, and even though my characters are full of personality I have no issue letting others have the spotlight. DMing wise, I am all about grand campaigns with lots archs for different characters and adventures, but all tied together by a central story arch, though be wary I do a lot of prep for these, so they take a bit of time to plan. Overall, from the sounds of it though, just sounds like my kind of folks, with a mix of serious and jest. I like to really get into things and "sink" into my characters, but have no problem pulling out to laugh and joke about random stuff that occurs or whatever. Plus reliability is what annoys me the most as a player, and I would really like the ability to know when I go to play at the designated day, it will happen. Tired of having the session cancelled and ruining all the anticipation built up for the game that week, as I really dont like playing in a ton of different groups. So a constant session with the same people would be a breath of fresh air. Plus being around my age is fantastic as well XD (28 here).
Hi Sebastian I would be really interested in joining this group.  The time is perfect for me, and I think I can fit according to the requirements you look for: * Age: Maybe I am a little older but I can assure you will not notice hehe (I'm 40) * Experience: I have 15 years of experience in D&D 3.5 (tabletop), and around 1 year of DND 5e online during pandemic (using discord and roll20, but I may need a little help with roll20 at the begining).  * I would like to join long-term but only as a player, I do not have enough knowledge of rules for Dming a 5e game (at least at first), I have Dm'd a couple of 3.5 games, but in my group of friends were two who were absolutely brilliant, so they were in charge most of the time. * I am confortable using voice comunication, webcam, etc. and I was using roll20 during a whole year, but after the pandemic I have not used it again. * I am consistent and reliable, and this is the main requirement for me. I have started just today to looking for a group because I really miss play D&D. I still have a game in course with my group of lifelong friends, but from long time ago, we only can meet to play every 2-3 (or even 4 sometimes) months (they started to have kids, most of us live in different cities... you know, life happens). I found a nice group to play online during the pandemic, but post-pandemic that group began to break up and.. until now I have not tried to find another As for my gameplay style, I always prefer to create a fulfilling backstory for my characters and usually their personality is the result of that story. I love wizards over any other class but I probably have played all the existing classes in  3.5. I also like that my characters have a great combination of skills and habilities but i am not confortable with munchking-adventure-spoilers. I can adopt any role, from the bright social star character to the shy apprentice looking for someone to emulate, or the flat-minded warrior who is all fight and food (to cite standard archetypes, although the truth is that I enjoy creating complex characters more, and that is the main reason why it is important for me to join a constant and reliable group, because I invest a lot of time in creating the characters, and it is frustrating for me if I have to abandon them due to lack of interest from the rest of the group) As for my way of playing as a player (forgive the redundancy), I prioritize a sense of humor (obviously my character traumatized by the death of his parents in a fire is not going to make barbeque jokes if he sees a family trapped in a house on fire, but... there will always be a touch) Lastly, regarding the games, I have played some other games (like vampires or the lord of the rings), and I am totally open to try new ones, but... I am mainly a DND player, it is the game I know and the game I love So... Please let me know if there is anythig else you would like to know. From my side I think you have all I need. Thanks in advance
