Use Night Vision Independant of Vision, and add Grayscale

I have creatures with Darkvision, who can't see light, and I'd like to be able to toggle the two on their own. I can understand why it's not a priority, since there's no grayscale mode for Nightvision. But, being able to give a player grayscale Darkvision and not the ability to see color/light would a very cool mechanic. I feel like Jumpgate being tested would be a perfect time to add this feature in.
+1  Currently you can add a tint to nightvision but you can still see color.  Same for effects, their is currently no true darkvision.  Would love to have clear vision as if using no/transparent tint, but have everything greyscale for nightvision when no lights around (and a good blend of the two if there is a torch but the rest is dark).  Currently when adding the tint, even the lightest gray, it still shows color, and everything is just faded and hard to see, not clear or focused at all.
+1 This would be especially useful in situations where lack of color vision would cause players to not be able to see some clues, like floor designs with different colors. It would give PCs with darkvision a reason to still carry light sources.
