Please implement a shareable To-Do list or Task-Tracker

It would be great to have a simple To-Do list, where open quests or shared notes could be tracked as "open, in-progress, closed" with an option to add notes for each task. Currently we use an external tool to track but its simpler to keep it inside R20.
Can't you just make a public handout that everyone can edit?

This is what we've been doing in our games and it's worked well. No automation needed; the players just maintain a list of things to do. When things get done players can either change the font to "strike-through" or otherwise marked them as in-progress or complete. We do the same thing for "party treasure" kept at the home base and for recording the "watch list". Kilter said: Can't you just make a public handout that everyone can edit?
We already have so many handouts, the interface gets cluttered. We might give it a try, though.
I know, it can get overwhelming, especially if the game is going for a long time and the PCs keep finding stuff :). I found that creating a folder structure under the journal tab helps a lot to keep things organized. Only the GM can create folders or move things in or out of them, but players are able to open and close folders to reduce clutter. I created folders for each player's character and move whatever items belong to their character into those folders, as well as a folder called "Things found" for general stuff that they find and a "Travelogue" folder for handouts describing where they've been. Handouts for quick reference like their "To do" list I keep at the top of the journal to make them easy to find. McDoney said: We already have so many handouts, the interface gets cluttered. Thank you for your tips, Rick, we tried the editable journal for players yesterday and see now ho it goes.
