Disconnect Character from the Vault/Roll20 Characters if the player leaves the game

If a player leaves a game (or is kicked), it may be desirable for their Player Character to be kelp as a Non-Player Character, or even transferred to a new player. Currently. the owner cannot be removed from the existing character record, and the character sheet cannot be deleted (the only option is "Remove from Game"). It would be desirable to sever the connection from the sheet to the Vault/Roll20 Characters for such legacy characters so that the GM can manage them in the game as desired.
The best thing to do is to create a copy of that character then remove the original from the game. The current policy is (or seems to be) that the character belongs to the player that created it, not to the GM or to the game.

Hi Mark G.,  I would suggest instead duplicating the Character when the player leaves the game. That allows the duplicate to contain the current data so it is not lost, while not causing an issue with the Roll20 Characters feature.
