Multi-side Token questions

If I want to set up a multi-sided token that is just numbers that have different color tints to them (Red, Green, White), do I need to edit those images out of Roll20 and upload them to use them as tokens in the rollable table? Or is there a way to use the token after shifting the tint of it in-game?

You could use a different method -- API Mod scripts -- to change the TINT upon different conditions. With your PRO subscription you can use Mods like TokenMod is able to change the Tint setting of a Token.  But, no, there isn't a way in Roll20 without using a Mod, to have different Tint settings stick to different Sides of a multi-sided token. Because each token (whether 1-image or multi-sided token) has just 1 Tint setting slot that applies to all sides until you change it. Using something like TokenMod would be possibly just a faster way to get that Tint setting to change. So if you want it to be a permanant feature of the Sides of the multi-sided token and not need to have a Mod running... do the Edit in your image editor and upload all your tinted images and build the multisided token with those pretinted ones.  Also if you ever plan to have the Multisided Token appear in the Chat window with the dice rolls -- token Tint does not apply there. Only the original image. Another reason to do the Edits and upload each side.
Even with manually editing all the images to have the desired tints, unless there's a very short list of numbers, that's a lot of "sides" to pick from using just the slider available in the token's right-click menu. I'd still want to use a MOD to create a drop-down list or chat menu to use for picking the desired image.
Got it, thank you all for your prompt responses! I appreciate it.
