Voice to Text and Roll20

Background: My games are all text and some of my players can't/won't switch to voice. I don't really want to anyway. HOWEVER, I am just seven weeks post-stroke, and my typing speed and accuracy aren't back where they need to be. Someone suggested voice-to-text, and I wondered if A) Roll20 has something, or B) If anyone has experience with a solution they recommend.

Hi Teller, AFAIK, roll20 doesn't have anything specifically to handle voice to text. If you are on windows 10/11 you can try "Voice Typing". toggle with win logo key + H I just tried it with the roll20 chat input and it worked great. https://www.elevenforum.com/t/use-voice-typing-to-dictate-text-in-windows-11.7697/

You might look at Discord's text to speech capabilities. For example, the slash command /tts "message" will output the message as speech. Link: Text-to-Speech 101 – Discord

Hi Vince. Thanks for this idea. I'm trying it right now, using my voice to make this reply. Wow, using my voice to make inputs is a little stilted but I probably will get used to it. Thanks again Will M. said: You might look at Discord's text to speech capabilities. For example, the slash command /tts "message" will output the message as speech. Link: Text-to-Speech 101 – Discord Hi, Will. Sorry I'm looking for Speech-to-Text not Text-to-Speech. The issue isn't my voice but my ability to type. Thanks for the idea, though. I appreciate the feedback.
