Directional lighting

Hi. Currently playing Masks of Nyarlathotep. I want the players who use flashlights to have limited vision (which ive worked out how to do), and be able to scan around the area useing the wheel on their mouse. Is there a way to do this? Having to open up the token settings and manually change the angle of vision is clunky and Id love a way to control this while viewing the VTT.

I don't think there is any way to automate token vision settings without using a MOD like TokenMod, which requires a Pro account.
If you have a token that has a Limited Field of Vision (to simulate vision with a flashlight), then you can select the token and hold down 'E' while using the mouse scrollwheel to rotate the token in 45º increments, or hold down Alt/Option and 'E' while using the mouse scrollwheel to rotate the token in 1º increments.   The downside of this is that the token has to be rotated, not the center point of the field of vision.  The token vision also doesn't update until the mousewheel stops moving, so it's not a totally smooth effect. If you want to adjust the center point of the field of vision without opening the token settings and adjusting it manually, then that requires a Mod script (so the game Creator needs a Roll20 Pro subscription).
If you make a token for the flashlight, you can limit the light to a directional beam and use the same techniques mentioned here to turn the light in various directions.

Linking the flashlight token to its own NPC character sheet and making that sheet visible and editable by the players would allow them to pull the "flashlight" from the journal  when needed  and be able to move and rotate it. Simply deleting the flashlight token from the map would turn the flashlight "off", but it would always be in the journal so it can be pulled back in to turn it "on".
