Problems loading maps

Trying to run my first game in on roll20 and I am testing it with one player to try and get everything down but whenever she joins she can only see a blank white grid, basically the "create new map" map. Do I need to do something specific to make the maps change for players or does clicking on the desired map usually move them over.

Can seriously anyone just tell me if that is how maps work. If its another issue I want to get to work on it.

In the page tool bar at the top of the ui, the GM needs to take the red 'Players' ribbon and move it to the map they wish the players to be on; that is the only way to get the players to the correct map page. If you have the flag on the correct page then.. perhaps try pinging (shift click in a spot to re-center everyone on that location) to bring her to where the map is on the page?
