Frustrations with Mods and Scripts on 2024 Sheets – Anyone Had Success?

Hey everyone, I’ve been loving the new 2024 sheet design—it looks great, and my players are really enjoying the updates too. However, I’m really disappointed with how limited mod/script functionality is right now. I knew going in that most, if not all, mods/scripts wouldn’t work with the new sheets yet, but I was hoping I could code around the issue or find a workaround as a Pro subscriber. Unfortunately, even with some scripting attempts, I haven’t been able to get anything to work. I’ve run into errors like the infamous Cannot access 'AttackIntegrant' before initialization issue and can’t even use simple mods like TokenMod in the Experimental Sandbox without breaking things.  Has anyone here had any luck getting mods/scripts to work with the 2024 sheets? If so, I’d love to hear how you managed it. I really want to enhance my games with some sweet mods to add flair, automation, and ease, but right now, it feels like I’m stuck waiting for Roll20 to fix compatibility. It’s a bit disappointing considering I’m paying for Pro access, but I’m hopeful the community has found some clever solutions. I’m new to DMing and Roll20, but I’m eager to learn and improve. Thanks for any help or advice!

At this point in time, very little of the sheet can be modified by the API. Slow progress is being made, but I cannot foresee anything like parity with the openness of the 2014 sheet on the horizon. Some things, like Group Initiative will eventually come, but I cannot see any path forward for things like ChatSetAttr or Token Action Maker. Not at this time. It's frustrating.

I will not be using Jumpgate or the D&D 5E (2024) sheet until they are fully compatible with the Mods that I use, which include Group Initiative and token Action Maker (and the ability to create token actions at all!) Without the ability to reliably use MODs, a Pro subscription only adds the Transmogrifier and the monthly reserve reward, and (to me) that's not worth the extra $60/year difference from a Plus account. (I'm not interested in the ability to create character sheets)

If Jumpgate or the new sheets can't offer that, it's a hard "no" for all of us that play in the groups I'm in. I'm honestly surprised at this. While I'm not incredibly informed on the nuts and bolts behind this, it does feel like a wild lack of foresight. Perhaps the number of games using scripts is very minimal and they figured the impact would be as well. Whatever the case, as a script user, I'll only play where the functionality exists.
You would think they wouldn't shoot one of the biggest pro-level subscription features in the foot like that, but here we are.
Combat Master still work.

I won't be able to give a firm answer on this until I see the implementation on Roll20, but it is my understanding that some key  sheet actions will be exposed on the sheet early next year. One of my top priorities then will be to update TAM to work with the new sheet. What this will mean for legacy modules, I have no idea. For the time being, I intend to run modules in a 2014 base sheet and add 2024 for PCs only. FWIW, Token Actions are already possible on the 2024 sheet and have been for several months. The big difference is that these would be manually created token actions. Calling a sheet action from a macro (&{character name|actioname}) is not yet possible.
