Using Roll20 tonight was painful

I was running a JG game on Roll20 it has been going for over 4 years and tonight was so painful with the lag. Took 5-10 seconds to pan a map or open a sheet, tokens would duplicate when they loaded into the game. Not a great experience tonight. =(
Did it ever get any better for you? I've noticed lagging in my Jumpgate games as well over the past few weeks, and this is in games where it has never happened before. Slow to pan as you sell, and things like the token flyouts when you click on one, or just moving tokens, slows down a bit. I switched to Firefox a while ago to avoid the memory leak I just couldn't figure out how to stop, and now I'm wondering if I should go back to Chrome.
I've also been experiencing increased lag and general VTT and character sheet performance issues for several week. I sent a help request (Ticket #301295) in early March but have only received the automated reply saying that it was received. I'm blaming the slow response on the staff being overwhelmed by the multiple issue with Jumpgate and the new D&D character sheet.
One thing that's seemed to help me was completely closing my entire browser session and starting it again. Refreshing (my usual fix) wasn't doing it, but last night at least, this helped. It's hard to know where the problem comes from when it's not consistent.
