Can't change layers for objects like monster tokens (Jumpgate)

I tried to run a game yesterday and was unable to move the hidden monsters from the GM layer to the Token layer.  i right clicked, selected change layers, clicked on token layer, but nothing happened.  I've never had this problem before in all the years I have been here.

Hi Doctor Atomic! There has been a bug reported by some users of token positions not being reported correctly for all users. It's possible this was happening to you and where you were clicking was not actually where the tokens were. If it happens again, try a quick refresh of the game and see if that helps you.

Also, if you don't want to refresh the game (which closes out open sheets and handouts), you can try  temporarily  changing your focus from the current map to another - do not move the party ribbon, just temporarily open a different map for yourself then return to the map that's in use. Fro me, this usually "unfreezes" the problematic tokens.

Finally got back to the game, we've had cancellations lately. Keith, I can select and move the tokens on the map in the GM layer, I just can't change them to the Token layer.  There have been times I tried and was unable to shift the to the token layer but came back hours or days later and they had shifted to the token layer at some point when no one was watching.  I also tried to shift one back to the GM and was unable to do so. Rick, I have refreshed the map, changed the map, closed and restarted Roll20, gone to a different game and back and none of that helps. As far as I can see Jumpgate simply doesn't work and is not ready for prime time.

If you would like me to investigate more deeply, feel free to shoot me a game invite and promote me to GM. Otherwise your best bet is to file a  Help Center Request . When you do so, it would be helpful tot he devs to provide a  Console Log ( Chrome , Firefox ) from the time when you try to switch the layers.  My strong suspicion is that this is either a procedural error, or something specific to your game or setup/connection. If it were a general Jumpgate issue, such a basic-level bug would almost certainly be flooding the forum. If you do decide to issue an invite, please do so in a PM that references this thread. Never post an invite in an open place.
