Hi, I'd like to start a Daggerheart Campaign set in a custom world I have begun and that you will help complete. The world is called: Nénuvalë, Which literally means "Blank Canvas" or "blank slate" in the elvish tongue. Some of the map is known, but most of it is not and exploration is a major part of this campaign. I'm looking for 4-5 players to round out the party. This game will be story-driven and while combat will be plentiful, crunching the numbers is not what this campaign is about. Getting immersed into your character and the imaginary world we explore together, taking a semi-serious approach to the game. Jokes and banter are fine as long as it doesn't distract too much from the game or interrupt the flow of the game. Sessions will be 3 hours most of the time and 4 hours if people are feeling up for more. Timeframe is still up for debate but I'm thinking either Friday or Saturday somewhere between 12-7 pm EST In any 3 hour bracket of time. The Main Plot An archfey hellbent on uniting all druidic magic under their name has plotted revenge against a druid circle that were directly involved in their downfall from power many years ago. The archfey has regained some semblance of their power when seals were broken th at kept them in permanent “slumber ”. This archfey believes that a great evil in the future will devour the world and the multiverse with it. This a rchfey believes they are the only ones capable of stopping this from happening, but only if all divine magic is united under them. As the heroes of this campaign, it is up to you whether you want to be against this problem or help hasten it. Is there some truth to this being's intentions or are they just the ravings of a dying god? This is a high fantasy setting. Magic is everywhere and plentiful like electricity is for us. However, it is incredibly difficult to harness this energy and sometimes taxing on the body and mind to use it. Not everyone in our world is an electrician even though everyone uses electricity, we don't always know how to fix something when it breaks or knowledgable enough to use it effectively to aid us in our everyday tasks. The same is true for magic in this multiverse. Those that have mastered it are seen as the pinnacle of civilized intelligent society and you'll find magocracies have popped up all over the place because of how much people revere spellcasters and miracle makers. Nénuvalë Nénuvalë is comprised of 4 known maj or continental regions and 2 unknown regions . They are; Realm of the Ancients, The Faerie Lands, The Pale Expanse, and Mooncrest Isles . Realm of the Ancients These lands are wild and untamed. You will likely find far more savagery than hospitality here. The civilizations that do offer hospitality do so fleetingly as strangers tend to spell doom for natives. Druid groves and civilized human settlements dot the landscape, but there are dozens of miles between the nearest settlements. Vast wilderness in all directions threatens civilized life every day. So, usually when a settlement stays alive people tend to welcome its protection. The Pale Expanse It is a seemingly endless permafrost wasteland. An unexplainable frigid cold climate has desolated any life within this region. If a creature does exis t in it , it must be able to thrive in this icy hell. Survival is only possible for the heartiest, most savage, or most clever creatures this world may know. What's worse this expanse is expanding every year. A few inches it creeps into the borders of the Realm of the Ancients and into the Faerie Lands. Clearly something magical has gone awry here, but no one seems to know what's going on or, if they do, they aren't telling anyone. The Faerie Lands Fey many millen nia ago settled in this southern subcontinental region. Through magical aptitude and whimsy the fey have redesigned the land in their image. Each region within these lands are so beautiful that they might as well have been painted into reality . Everywhere you look reality is being redesigned and what you thought was impossible becomes possible. Mooncrest Isles The Mooncrest Isles includes the Isle of Lengmaw , Isle of Summoning, the Isle of Moonloch , and Mt. Infinitus . Each isle is actually a dragon turtle so gargantuan they are of the size of islands. They swim around the sea over the course of a year rotating their position. Mt. Infinitus is the seat of the world. It is the tallest mountain range in the world and encompasses its entire island. It is so massive that the mountain alone can be considered its own country . This is whe re all l ife on Nénuvalë is believed to have begun. This is just a taste of what I have in store for you. I'm just as new to Daggerheart as any of you will be so this will be a learning experience for all of us. But, I hope that with some patience this will be a very fun time we make together. I don't have an official LFG page made yet because I want to wait for the 20th when Daggerheart launches and Roll20 has official character sheets for it. Till then I will continue to build onto some of it. The best part is that I will have my players fill in some of the gaps. I will give players the opportunity to craft not only their character but the entire town or region they hail from. I'll weave into the world to have it make sense with the world, but will honor the key parts of what you want to see in it. I might even request ideas for dungeon sprawls or wacky encounter ideas you might have. Have a favorite monster you want to see make an appearance at some point? Share it, I'll keep it in my back pocket or turn it into the campaign arc's bbeg. Seriously, I want this to a collaborative effort. Let me know what you think and if this is something you'd want to be a part of.
