Ooh, or a system for crowd-sourcing localization? Then it could be undertaken for any language!

Sure! There are several services that handle the crowd sourcing side ( https://www.getlocalization.com/ is the first one I came across). The way you handle localization is by taking all of your text and moving it to a giant table of strings, then you translate the strings to other languages, conceptually in different columns and conceptually choose the column based on the language preference of the user. The hard part is in setting up the table of strings and pulling your content from there (particularly when the string contains something that will be substituted for a variable). Crowd sourcing just means you could get it the translation done more affordably and add more languages at a whim. =D

certamente! +1 to this, roll20 is very international, an option to change languages would be idea at some point in the future.

Certainly to have as many players as possible, even non-native English speakers is good for the site as a whole, but is the suggestion for greater multi-language support, or for Italian specifically? I know there are some French character sheets for example. Perhaps a different suggestion that was broader would garner more votes?

I agree. I think it would be great if they could open it up to the community to translate.. Then all they have to do is sit back and let the translations roll in. =D
