Laggy panning/low FPS in Firefox

I'm trying to make a switch from Chrome to Firefox but I still have performance issues with Roll20 on Firefox that I don't have on Chrome. Hardware acceleration is on in both. This could just be a problem with Firefox itself but maybe there's a way to fix it. Issue: Panning the camera feels very slow/laggy in Firefox compared to Chrome, likely due to a lower FPS. The issue is easy to notice in a maximized window on a 4k monitor (3840x2160 resolution) and harder to notice in a smaller window. I tested this on a large map (about 60x80) with dynamic lighting enabled. Browsers: Chrome and Firefox (no addons/extensions) Hardware acceleration: On (both browsers) OS: Windows 10 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti I also tried other suggested performance fixes on Roll20 help center for Firefox but they had no effect. It looks like Firefox isn't using as much GPU to render Roll20 as Chrome is (even though Hardware acceleration is on in both). While panning in Chrome While panning in Firefox
It's not quite out as stable yet, but Firefox 141 (The next release) will implement WebGPU on Windows. This might explain why it performs better on Chrome than Firefox for you. Mac and Linux users will still have to wait a few months. If you really want to you probably could install a beta version of firefox to get it now or just wait until 141 comes out. https://mozillagfx.wordpress.com/2025/07/15/shipping-webgpu-on-windows-in-firefox-141/ I haven't had any performance issues with Firefox, but I don't use dynamic lighting and I'm on a custom built Linux box. If it's not a deal breaker you could try disabling dynamic lighting and see if it helps. Good on you for taking control of your data and trying to get off Chrome.
I have a player who's been experiencing problems (lock-ups and slow panning) when using Firefox. They've changed to using Chrome but only for playing on Roll20. I have another player that was using Safari with their Mac and is also doing the same.
