Since this place lacks Paypal -- Alternatives? Dutch DM.

Heyo, Been searching around for a little while but have found little answer on the question; I don't got a creditcard, I don't really desire to own one but since the market place exclusively seems to use that (Which I vastly disagree with, but it is a dead topic I reckon) -- To any Dutch DM's/Player's out here, what do you use? Are there any prepaid card methods I can just deposit money onto to gain access to the store? I don't want a subscription to mastercard, visa or any of that (in my opinion) garbage, but I haven't figured out what prepaid-pretend-to-be-a-creditcard-card is actually working. Thanks for the help. Apologies if this is in the wrong spot.

Hello Katelynn. Did you know there is a thread in the suggestion forum about adding paypal to the subscription choices and the marketplace? Implement PayPal Payments for Subscription and Marketplace
I did, but with a linked response from a year or so ago stating a Developer has had bad experiences with Paypal in a different thread, I don´t see it happening. Personally, I never had issues with Paypal; Even if it were implemented it'd take quite a while I assume, so for now I just want a method that is available for me. Sadly, I haven't found it.
Can you buy a prepaid credit card where you live? They are ubiquitous here, they cost about $10 plus what you put on them here, I know people who use them as "shopping controls" here. They put the amount they have set as their limit on it and know they can't go over. I personally don't have experience with them as I always know my spending limit is close to zero :).
In theory, I can; I know of them at least but got zero experience with the cards. I'll be completely honest and say that the idea of those cards is frightening enough already. From the searching on it I've done so far, it all just seems to have way too many loopholes to be remotely safe. Going to drop a call to my bank tomorrow, see what they can offer; I appreciate the help though! I truly don't think anyone should have to go through such a hassle considering the world today has so many payment options available but sadly this place is lacking any of them.
You might be able to get a 'gift card' credit card which I think Al is basically talking about. It acts like a credit card, but you have to put money on it for it to be any good. But I dont know how it works in your country, they might have similar systems!
Thanks! That would be wonderful indeed. I'll start looking around. ^^
I'm also from the Netherlands, most Albert Heijns and Kruidvats sell prepaid Visa cards, it's where I got mine ^^
.. Huh, I'll definitely have to take a look there then! I don't think mine sells any but admittedly, this is just a small village. Thanks for the tip!
Katelynn, ask your bank if they have any options for you or go on their website to find out. In Spain, I had a "Visa" debit card that took money directly from my bank account, I could use it for online purchases too...
To update this for other Dutchies; The Albert Hein supermarket actually sells debit visa cards. The Rabobank, my piss poor bank, does not. Thanks for all the help, at least I can purchase what I intended to through that. Ain't the best solution, but it works.
Congrats on finding that. Some of my European friends have a totally different meaning for "Dutchies"...

Would it make sense to start a Wiki Page that is updated by the community and has information on where to get these cards in various regions?
If anyone desires to, that'd be helpful. Personally, I ain't a wiki-contributor so I'll pass on doing it.
