Jumpgate Game Glitches

Recently updated my main campaign to Jumpgate by accident and can't revert it back to the previous version. When I updated the game, it suddenly created a bunch of new issues that slow the game down to a snail's crawl. Glitches include, but are not limited to: - Tokens turning invisible, despite being able to see their names and health bar. - Tokens duplicating and appearing in completely random spots. - Zoom is out of whack, creating an insane amount of empty space around the loaded pages. - Switching from page to page causes Firefox to slow down and crash. I am running the modern version of Firefox on Mac OS Sequoia 15.3.2. Game is "Call to Adventure 2: Welcome to Agora." Glitches are primarily occurring on pages "Tokens" and "Tokens 2".  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I cannot run my game in the current state that it's in.
If you used the "Try Jumpgate" button that appeared in the chat when first loading the game, or the "Convert to Jumpgate" option under the settings icon within the game, a copy of your game called "<name of game> - Legacy" should have been created as a backup.

Hi Kai G.,  If you are running any API Scripts please disable them and see if that helps. There is currently a problem with the sandbox that could be causing issues. Not saying that is what is going on in your game, just that it could be.

I'm ware of the Legacy version. This doesn't help me-- I needed to update to Jumpgate in order to recover some deleted content that is missing from the Legacy version. Apparently you cant transfer data from a Jumpgate to non-Jumpgate version of the game, hence the update. But now everything is broken and I can't run my game.

Could you PM me an invite to your game? I'd like to see if I can replicate any of the issues.

Looks like this was resolved yesterday.
Nope, issues still persisting. - Tokens still invisible, despite being able to see their names and health bar. - Tokens duplicating and appearing in completely random spots. - There is still an insane amount of empty space around the page's border. - Switching from page to page causes Firefox to slow down and crash.

Have you had a chance to follow up with Gauss? He is a champion of the community offering to help diagnose and troubleshoot your game, 2 posts up.  Kai G. said: Nope, issues still persisting. - Tokens still invisible, despite being able to see their names and health bar. - Tokens duplicating and appearing in completely random spots. - There is still an insane amount of empty space around the page's border. - Switching from page to page causes Firefox to slow down and crash. The only 1 that I think is not a bug, is the empty space. That's a feature of Jumpgate. The area outside the Page Area is unlimited in size. The GM can put anything they want in the empty space outside the page's border. The players will not see it. The GM can set the color of that backdrop area under Page Settings. The rest of your issues sound like bugs that may be addressable with troubleshooting steps.

Alright, I took a look, I was not able to replicate issues 1 and 2.  I did see a ton of errors in the console log. Some 404s but a ton of connection errors. I suspect that those errors and issue #4 are due to the extremely large amount of tokens on your token pages. It may also be the cause of issues 1 and 2.  To contrast and compare: Dungeon of the Mad Mage is considered one of the largest modules on Roll20. It has about 340 tokens on it's token page.  Your first token page has almost 5 times that number. Your second token page has about 3 times that number. These are the two pages you stated were most problematic.  So why does that affect your entire game? Well, because if you load those pages at any point during your session, they are retained in memory until you end the session.  Roll20 uses what is called Lazy Loading. This is great because it doesn't load a page until you actually go to it. The old way (some 4-5yrs ago) loaded all the pages at once. But it does mean that even in the current Lazy Loading environment that once you load a page it exists in your browsers memory until you start a new session. I suspect you are simply overloading your browser with the size of those two pages. Reduce the number of tokens on each token page and that will definitely solve problem #4. It may also solve problems #1 and #2.  If it does not please let me know and we can troubleshoot further.  Edit: Actually I am curious about how this game performed in Legacy. Can you send me an invite to your copy of this game in Legacy? (The one that was made when you upgraded to Jumpgate.)
