Recording Known Spells

Sorry for all the questions. I've been trying to write the spells of a MU we rolled today and am finding it very frustrating; they keep disappearing.  This time, I get the 5 1st level spells the guy has and when I tab out of the 5th one after entering it -  they all disappear!   This was the 6th time they disappeared - I was going to make a screen shot, but instead took a scream shot and gave up. 🙂 In a previous time they were all wiped out when I clicked on Memorized Only. Another time after clicking on another level tab and going back to first level, they were gone. Just tried again, #7, and just entered one spell. tabbed once, then tabbed again - it reached the lock symbol and I pressed enter. Kapow, gone. It's utterly unuseable as a means to keep track of the spells he has in his book. What on earth am I doing wrong? -- Tim

No Worries Tim.   Keep in mind, regardless of the spell level tab you are on,  the spell does not have a level assigned to it when it's first added (well, it will actually show up under ALL or "Cantrips/0" if not set). Once you edit a spell's level, it "should" jump to that Spell Level tab and show up for that Spell level tab whenever selected.  Toggling memorized will "fade out" any spells that have "0" in the memorized field.  My suggestion is to either set a spell's level when you add it, or just keep the spell level tab on "All" when adding new spells. You might also need to set Caster 1 or 2 if you have a multi-caster. This also adds another level of filtering to be aware of. Let me know if this is not working for you or if you have additional questions. Cheers
OK, cool, I was not expanding the entry, just typing in the spell name under the appropriate level tab. It was a long day, yesterday - when you're an adult, your wife makes you clean the house (and of course she helps) before your friends come in. I was dead tired last night. Thanks, Vince. You're a very patient man, I appreciate it. -- Tim vÍnce said: No Worries Tim.   Keep in mind, regardless of the spell level tab you are on,  the spell does not have a level assigned to it when it's first added (well, it will actually show up under ALL or "Cantrips/0" if not set).
