Creating tokens without radiant bubbles or other features?

I want to create a toked that represents an inanimate object that can be moved and change state. an example is a chair in a tavern.   In a bar fight a player can pick up and throw the chair.  The chair is moved and changed to the broken state, and remains in the new location as an obstacle.  How do I create a clean token without all the details around it?   As I recall in legacy I could hide them.   In VTT I can choose 3 or 4 but not zero.   Total aside, how do I change the player icon to name only?  It seems the option is gone in basic game?  Looking online the menu option listed doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

For a token that changes state you probably want a Multi-sided token . For a "clean" token, right click the token, and under the Advanced Transform menu select "Disable Token Menus". If for "player icon" you mean the video/avatar window for each player: in My Settings, expand the Audio & Video section, click the Video tab, and change the "Player video/avatar size" option to "Names only".
Exactly what Jim R. said. The option used to be 'Is Drawing", which turned off both the token menus (bubbles) and grid snapping. The new choices separate the two options: Disable Token Menus and Disable Grid Snapping.
Yes the “chair” is a multi-sided token, with one side intact the other broken.
