Change how the Fog of War works

First off, my buddies and I have been using roll20 for our new Shadowrun campaign, and so far it is pretty awesome! We had a good 1st encounter combat, worked great. I'm running a 2nd encounter now where they are driving through lower Manhattan, trying to avoid a network of drones out to intercept them. I want to use Fog of War to restrict what they can see, but it doesn't work the way I would like. How it does work is the fog of war completely blacks out the map except for what I reveal. How I want it to work is just like fog of war in an RTS like starcraft works, the map is still completely visible, but greyed out, and you can only see units in the areas where you have vision. So concealing areas with fog wouldn't block the map, but only markers. I would also really like to be able to reveal and conceal areas with more than just rectangles, as I find vision is often better represented with lines, diagonals, and circles. Making a diagonal line with rectangles is really ugly! Thanks! roll20 is awesome!
Just a suggestion, but what if you reveal the entire map, leave the area outside blacked out, and when they are in range of an enemy, just move the enemy over from the blacked out area to their vision range?
Or move the enemies to the GM layer, which the players can't see. Then drop them down to tokens when you need them to appear.

This would be the easiest thing to do if you want them to be able to see the map but not enemies. Then you can just highlight the enemies on the GM Layer and press "Shift+Ctrl+O" and they'll move from the GM Layer to the Tokens layer and become visible to the players.

I think they should add an optional "vision" Aura to tokens and a "wall" tool on the GM layer that could be used to draw walls that stop the previously mentioned "vision" aura.
The "vision"/"wall" stuff is coming, if you missed the video showing a preview ("Dynamic Lighting", toward the end): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAFTAhU12Do
