Batman Gotham City Chronicles Group Seeking 1-2 More!

Day/Time Frequency : Weds night bi-weekly at 8 pm EST Batman Arkham-verse RPG ongoing bi-weekly campaign using the iconic characters and new characters (if you prefer to make your own) now has some room for the Batman: Gotham City Chronicles RPG by Monoilith. We just lost a player due to scheduling who was playing Nightwing. We could use someone to take over as Nightwing in the game , as he is a very big character in the campaign story arc. We also might have room to add 1 more in addition to that. We currently have the following characters in the campaign: Batman, The Phantasm, Cassandra Kane, The Red Hood, and Clayface. If you were not a Kickstarter backer and do not have the core rulebook PDF, you can still apply, as I will be providing rules summary materials and teaching the system. It uses a d20 derivative system, and if you have ever played Dungeons & Dragons or another d20 RPG you will have a VERY easy time learning this new/innovative take on the system. It captures the feel of Batman/Gotham stories perfectly. If you have interest in possibly GM'ing or sharing GM roles, please let me know and I will get you up to speed and provide rules summary materials. I’m open to shared GM’ing as the campaign progresses.
Any fan interested in playing as Nightwing?
Any chance I can play as Riddler?
We are playing as the heroes, not the villains.
Ragman.
Depending on how late you are wanting to play, I might be available for this game. I'd be more interested in playing Spoiler/Orphan but I'd be okay to play Nightwing as long as you're okay with a transwoman playing him?
I try to wrap up by around 11 pm EST, but we have gone past that a couple of times or so due to combat.

Okay, then yeah that would work out perfectly for me, I would like to play spoiler, but I can play Nightwing if you’d prefer. If I’m allowed into the game that is lol.
Trying to finalize this all now to resume after the holidays. Any other folks interested in joining? We still have room for one additional person to take over as Nightwing.
We still have room for 1-2 more. We especially need someone interested in playing Nightwing.
We still have room for one more!
Hi, never played this game, so new to game, but an experienced roleplayer. A couple of questions: How long are each of your sessions? What characters are available?
Still looking for a nightwing?
That sounds like a great group hope you find the right players soon! You might also consider organizing sessions with clear scheduling and shared resources to keep things running smoothly. I’ve seen communities benefit from tools like St Charles Court for structured updates and information flow. Best of luck building a solid and fun team this game really shines with the right crew!
Sounds like an exciting group—Gotham always makes for intense storytelling and strategic gameplay! If you're organizing sessions or tracking case-style narratives within the campaign, having a structured reference can really help keep everything immersive. I’ve found that using resources like Placer Court Records can give useful inspiration for organizing detailed case flows and timelines. It might add a deeper layer of realism to your chronicles. Hope you find the right players soon!
Sounds like an exciting group—hope you find the right players to round out the team. It might help to clearly outline your playstyle, schedule, and expectations so interested members know what they’re signing up for. Also, sharing useful resources for coordination and tracking progress can make things smoother; something like Polk Placer Directory could be handy for organizing details and keeping everything accessible. Best of luck building a solid and fun team dynamic!
I'd like to talk about it! Sounds fun. I'm EST however.
I'm in U.S. EST as well.
Still one more. Send me a direct message and let's discuss it.
I might be able to squeeze 1-2 in currently. I'd need to know what character you intend to play and a little a bit about yourself as a player. Your RPG experience, a little about yourself, and what you prefer in your RPG games - exploration / combat / social, etc. Feel free to reply in this thread and/or PM me.
Were folks still interested in joining up with us? If so, please post what character you would like to portray.
I'm fine with Nightwing and preferably a new character.

I'd be interested in playing. every other Wednesday, starting 5/27? I'm on CST: 8 pm EST works for me. Been role-playing since 1977, both as a player and GM. Previously been writer for Mayfair/DC Heroes Marvel FASERIP/TSR, Deadlands, Spycraft, and White Wolf/Vampire. Can run an established character, or create one. I'm in it for the long haul. Am good with Roll20 and Discord. If I had to personally choose a character, it'd be Renee Montoya as Question II, or Nightwing. As new characters: the Blank, a faceless vigilante surrounded in a featureless gray skintight(for accelerated movement) or clothes-tight forcefield but a streetwise bawler/detective, Or Dark Omen, with minor darkness powers. Or also named the Blank, more because he's a blank slate. W ith Matt Hagan's claylike genetics in his bloodstream, who can change his face and is an infiltrator. Bur doesn't have Clayface's full package of shapeshifting, The latter kind of like Nemesis/Tom Tresser, or Richard Benson/1he pulp Avenger. A street vigilante rather than a government agent.

Salvo Hello? I'd be looking at a mix of the cowboy/DC Vigilante, Reese from Person of interest, and Salvo from DC's Thriller (the Seven Seconds - look it up :) ) also seems doable. A gunwielder who at most kneecaps. "Only flesh wounds, only outpatients. I won't hurt a fly so don't ask," to borrow a phrase. :) He doesn't have a code against killing. Salvo just hates the paperwork, and the hero attention. The singing might get annoying, though. :) Any singing would be by Youtube. I won't expose anyone to my singing voice. :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PxCYkGbERQ To see the version of Vigilante I'd be going for. Or Kane Creole from Thriller. The top two necks of the guitar are shotgun barrels (firing stun pellets). The third piece fires a grappling line.
Still working? It's been months.

TBatman posted a week ago, but not since, by here or PM. I'm supposed to be running Leverage rpg tomorrow night. He expressed an interest, but didn't show at the last session on 5/20.
What's Leverage?

https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/21332587/the-compound-job-slash-pickup-with-continuing-option-slash-leverage-cortex-plus It's a modern-day setting role-playing game where you play a team of uber-talented reformed criminals running elaborate scams against the "rich and powerful" who have ripped off average joes of their money, property, and/or reputations. Based on the TNT Leverage TV series, and the streaming series Leverage Redemption. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leverage_(American_TV_series) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leverage:_Redemption The series and hopefully the game have a lighthearted comedy style. There are five "classes" (Grifter, Hacker, Hitter, Mastermind, and Thief), and all characters have all five at various levels. Feel free to stop by if interested.

Sorry, all. I've been hella busy. Work has been very demanding, and I was recently out of state for a couple of days of travel. We had to organize and throw a large baby shower for our daughter, and right after that, my sister was admitted to the hospital with heart failure, lung, and kidney issues/failure as well. It has been a whirlwind. I'm currently talking with my Batman: Gotham City Chronicles players regarding how we want to constitute the group/how much room we will have, etc. I should mention that the tone of the game is serious and gritty, so those kinds of characters are what we are seeking. We have used the Arkham-verse video games as our touchstone for the look and feel of the campaign. We might have openings for Nightwing and possibly The Red Hood (Jason Todd) soon, if any are interested in playing as any of those characters.

Good to hear from you. Reality intrudes and all, :) and family comes first. Hope your sister is doing better. You can see my thoughts above, Salvo is gritty, Kane Creole less so, either Blank... neither are wisecrackers, Vigilante probably isn't too gritty. Red Hood is fine, too. I'm... flexible. I'm good for roll20 and hopefully Discord. I'm only online, but no surprise. I figure the next get-together is 6/10? I would admit I prefer a more lighthearted character, just as a contrast to everyone else who is presumably "serious and gritty". If we're all serious and gritty, then no one is. imo. But I can do serious and gritty, too. :) I have played Arkham, and have the Quickstart Guide, . So at least Renee Montoya's non Question stats are there. If you want to go that route...
Ok, I'm talking it over with the group currently to see if they are cool with adding possibly 1-2 additional players.
Nothing on 6/10. Will keep checking.
6/17, nothing
