LFG Super Star Wars Nerd looking for a game to live out my heroic Star Wars Fantasy!!! Preferably Star Wars Saga Edition!

Heyo! My name is Chris! Aged 27 (Resident Forever DM((Who wants to be a player)) I've been looking for a pretty in depth Star Wars game for a while now. With a good 60/40 on RP and Gameplay. As a player I do my best to stay In Character and make interesting story prompting decisions. I will take risks, and act in a way that respects the agency of my fellow players. I know when to share the "road" and really love taking an interest in other player characters.  In a perfect world we'd all build characters together and get a jist to how the game is going to go. I like DM's who don't mind breaking, exceptioning, or expanding the rules to make the game more fun. I also adore DM's who know how to implement soundtracks well.  I'd like to maybe join a group who's planning on starting a game, people who know eachother. Though I'm always open to making new and totally random new friends! My timezone is PST, I'm open just about every-single day. Tuesdays and Thursdays however will become non negotiable because I'm going to College for literature (My passion).  Overall I'd like to think I'm a decently reasonable guy who really wants to play a heroic Star Wars character. I do like getting really high concept with the characters, or doing something super cliche and putting my own spin on it. (Cliche isn't bad). I will probably beg to be a Mandalorian guardian of the Darksaber (I could've written the last season of The Mandalorian better. And so could you.) or some Jedi student who survived order 66. (Don't hate me).  My favorite (but not limited to) bits of media are The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Robotech, Ghibli, A Knights Tale , Uncharted and Fallout: New Vegas. Also I love knights. Clang Clang.
What are your feelings on altered timelines? Just an Example: Anakin didn't attack Windu, Palpatine died, Anakin quit the Jedi to be with Padme, they raised their kids... project forward 20 years and go from there.
It all depends on how well thought out it is. However, with something like the death of Palpatine, that has extremely far reaching implications. Alot of structural things that set the precedence for the galaxy just don't happen. Like the Empire, Order 66, the Death Star, the Rebellion. So color me curious.
Mainly exploring the general possibility. That was an example from one I've done, and I generally proceed the same: Someone (me or a player) proposes a change. We discuss it as a group to build the work that evolves from that point. I feel it's important to so these as a group. There are always ideas, perspectives, etc. We bring that forward a number of years. One it's set, it becomes our new canon, and from there I take over as GM, and they make characters and we play in that world. I've done the above, and: Luke turns over Endor and Vader becomes Emperor, 20 years later Leia leads a new rebellion. Padme lives to raise Luke and Leia in hiding, 20 years later they fight with the rebellion. Fleeing Naboo with the Queen, they manage to fix the hyperdrive and never need to stop at that awful backwater planet and meet that annoying  child. After the events of Jedi , new heroes fight the imperial remnants.  A second fork has Jedi Hopefuls scouring the galaxy for Fore Traditions to rebuild the Jedi stronger than before. Some time before Kamino is destroyed, Jedi manage to send some of their number to the far side of the galaxy, where they thrive until it's time to return and join the rebellion. So, just measuring possible interest in this style of pushing the movie heroes into the background to make way for new heroes.
Overall I'm very much on the side of pushing the movie hero's to the side. After-all it's the players who are the hero's now. I usually just rug sweep them in my head when thinking about heroic characters. The only thing that ever just makes me a bit worried is the long-reaching galactic ramifications for the setting in general.  The Emperor dying is one of the very few I'd ever really take issue with, everything else honestly seems totally plausible and interesting. I mean I literally want to play a character that has close ties with the Darksaber so yeah, Im cool with breaking Canon. Lastly I'll just say that I do prefer longterm adventures, Year +, in length. I want to make a group of solid friends and have a grand story.
