Map Object Resizing Has Suddenly Changed

Up until very recently - has to have happened in the last two weeks - when I placed tokens on the map layer (walls, doors, objects, etc) I could resize them *and modify them* by mouse click. I could click the dots on one side and drag, and the object wouldn't just expand or contract, it would thicken or thin. Only the ones at the corners caused the entire token size to change. All of a sudden, the ONLY thing mouse clicks on these tokens can do is expand/contract them. But I don't want to make the token *bigger*, I want to make a thicker version of the same door, so it looks like similar construction, but a heavier duty version. This used to be just how the dot-drag function worked in my maps. All of a sudden, it is not. I see nothing in the release notes about any change that is even remotely related. How can I get back the way this worked on literally every map I've ever made in Roll20 until now? EDIT: this appears to be related to some new function that tries to make absolutely every placed object fit neatly onto the grid. Tokens that are not square become so as soon as any attempt is made to resize or alter them. I can still use the "set dimensions" function to hard set the size, but that's way too cumbersome to be practical when trying to work on enormous maps that have hundreds of the same door token, but not all with the same dimensions.
Holding down the ALT key overrides the "snap to grid" behavior, but I too have seen some odd token behavior lately. The most bothersome is not being able to double-click on a token to open the token menu if the image isn't on the Object layer. Also, if a linked token isn't on the Object or GM layer, I can't SHFT-click ot ALT-click to open the character sheet.
