Webcam Issues in Firefox

So, i've been having some camera issues in firefox and i'm completely stumped at this point. I tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps several times, and i keep getting the "Selected Device(s) could not be started". Now, the webcam works in the preview and the camera works in Chrome, so there is nothing wrong with the camera itself. The webcam also works on discord, when logged into the website via Firefox, so it seems that firefox only have an issue with it when i try to use it on roll20. it is not a new webcam, and i've been using it successfully on roll20 through firefox for 6 months already.  Any thoughts on the issue would be appreciated, as i've pretty much given up for now. i can use chrome to run roll20 with in a pinch, but i prefer firefox.
I've got a player that likes Firefox over Chrome and he's been having all kinds of issues lately with lighting, token movement, and even connectivity. He switched to Chrome and most of it went away. He still uses Firefox for most things but now uses Chrome for Roll20. I've also got a player who has had good luck using the DuckDuckGo browser (he really dislikes Chrome).
