Hi ho! We're an existing group who've been playing online together for several years. Unfortunately, a couple of our number have been out on an extended sabbatical for quite a while, so we're looking for one more person to round us back out. Groupwise , we are currently a group of four, which means we usually have one of us GM and three be players, but we'd like to get up to five again so we can hit that four-player sweet spot once more. Currently, our gender split is two gals and two guys who range in age from late 20s to late 30s. Don't really mind what age you are as long as you're over 18. System-wise , we've tried a bunch of different games. Originally, it was just DnD (5E), but after our main GM needed a break after a couple of long campaigns, we've been regularly rotating between ourselves as GMs for some single scenarios and mini-campaigns in different systems. So far, that's included Call of Cthulhu, The Alien RPG, Blades in the Dark, and Daggerheart. I'm about to run a few games of Star Trek Adventures (1st edition). So if you jump on board quickly, you could join that! Don't worry if you don't know the system, we're all newbs to it. Time-wise, we meet online every other Friday at 10 PM EST. So once every two weeks. Usually, we play for about four hours. Sometimes a lil over, sometimes a lil under. While we are happy to reschedule if people have something they can't move, this is our locked-down slot, so it should be regularly available for you. Our next session, where we will start Star Trek Adventures, is on June 12th. Tone-wise , we like to joke around out of character, but play the characters we have properly. So, as players, we will almost certainly crack jokes about anything silly said, but our characters will act in line with who they are in the setting and their motivation. That might mean a character might BE silly and act in accordance with that, or could be deadly serious. We play it by ear. We don't mind some occasional off-colour humour, but we aren't idiots and know where the line is. Likewise, we don't mind having dark subject matter come up if it makes sense (especially if the genre of the game demands it i.e. horror) and have never wanted or had to use X cards or other similar functions. But we don't do edgelord stuff for edgelord's sake and definitely treat each other as players with general respect. We are all adults. In addition, we've known each other a while online, so we also often do a little catch-up banter at the start of the session (how are things, etc.). Basically, we're chill. Tools-wise , we play on Roll20, but we do our audio chat over Discord. If you fancy joining, please drop me a PM and also leave a reply here saying you have done so, just in case it is missed!
