I would like some way for tokens to appear visually above Map Pins when the two overlap. My specific use case is a regional hex map. I use custom hex-shaped icons to mark important locations and would like to use those icons as custom Map Pin images. A separate token marks the party’s current position. When the party enters a hex containing a location pin, the Map Pin currently appears above the party token and can partially or completely conceal it. Ideally, the party token would appear on top of the location icon instead. As far as I can tell, there is currently no way to change the order in which tokens and Map Pins are displayed. It would be useful to have some option that allows Map Pins to appear beneath tokens, either for individual pins or for the page as a whole. This could also help with other moving markers—such as armies, vehicles, NPCs, or quest tokens—that may temporarily occupy the same location as a Map Pin. I am not sure what the best technical implementation would be, but some control over whether Map Pins appear above or below tokens would make custom pin images much more useful for regional and world maps.
