[LFG] Wands & Wizards (5e Homebrew) — “For the Greater Good”: A 7-Year Hogwarts Campaign, 1938–1945 · Mon–Sat 9PM EST

🪶 FOR THE GREATER GOOD A Hogwarts campaign · 1938–1945 · the rise and fall of Gellert Grindelwald System: Wands & Wizards (with homebrew) · Players: 4–5 · New players very welcome · Tone: slow-burn, character-driven, morally grey In 1938 you’ll pull on a uniform, get sorted, and sit down to a welcome feast — while at the far end of the hall, a handful of students who arrived with foreign accents and no luggage push food around their plates. That’s the year the Muggle world goes to war. The wizarding one pretends it’s unrelated. It isn’t. And one thing the welcome feast won’t tell you: you are why it ends. Somewhere in the records of a half-mad Divination professor, in sealed envelopes lodged at Gringotts, in the quiet certainty of the greatest wizard of the age, it’s written that the few who’ll turn this war sit in this year’s intake. Fate has already chosen you. Nobody’s told you. That’s rather the point. Over seven school years, Grindelwald’s movement takes Europe one signature at a time, and reaches into Hogwarts itself. Not with armies. With flattery. Elegant unsigned letters in violet ink. Reading circles that ask the right questions. A genuine, beautiful, dangerous argument — that wizards hiding behind the Statute while Muggle children burn is the real cowardice — delivered by people you’ll come to like. Being chosen doesn’t make it easier. Every classmate going quiet at dinner, every recruiter who thinks he runs an admissions office, every letter in violet ink is, in the end, yours to answer, because the prophecy doesn’t say you win. It says it comes down to you. The campaign ends the spring of 1945, at the gates of Nurmengard, and the world your characters graduate into is the one they chose to make. What you’re walking into A living world of ninety-plus named students and staff, each with their own motives and storylines already running. Real choices over twist-of-fate plotting: you’re the chosen ones, but what you choose is wide open. A custom Wands & Wizards build with a full character builder, dice roller, and class compendium provided, so there’s zero prep on your end. Found-family warmth and dark-academia atmosphere in equal measure. Safety tools at the table, with lines and veils set at session zero. The practical bits Nights available Monday through Saturday, 9:00 PM EST start. Sessions run 3 to 4 hours. A year-long campaign, likely longer, with seven in-game school years to play through. Played on [Roll20 & Discord]. Interested? Leave a comment below or reach out, and tell me a sentence about a character you’d love to play — or come in blank and we’ll build one together at session zero. Campaign style [RP heavy with combat being meaningful]  The letters have already started arriving. The prophecy says you’ll answer them. It doesn’t say how. My discord is dmgriffin.
