I am proposing an adventure which takes place during the events of Firefly and Serenity, where your crew of misfits will delve deeper into the conspiracies of which the Firefly crew only scratched the surface. While The Alliance ensured the expansion and survival of human civilization, they did so by harming countless people. Your crew decides the price of scientific advancement is not worth the tears of the innocent. You realized their greed, and lust for power caused too much agony in the 'verse. Will you go up into the sky with likeminded brothers and sisters, and purge the 'Verse or die tryin'? I am a 40 years old academician, who has been enjoying a variety of TTRPGs for two decades. My favorite genres are Dark Fantasy, Grimdark, Sci-Fi, and Space Opera. Reflecting this, I run games in the universes of Firefly, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Buffy/Angel, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. I am strict about being loyal to the lore, while writing stories that focus on different heroes who also lived and died during the timeline of the original show/movie/book. Just because they weren't shown or mentioned, doesn't mean they weren't fighting their own battles, surviving their own winters, suffering their own nightmares. And you, the players, shall bring those heroes to life, and shape their fates in these worlds we love dearly. To ensure the most satisfying experience, a maximum of 4 players will be recruited into the game, which will last between 16 to 32 sessions (depending on player willingness). The game will be 50% social roleplay such as fake flattery, foul threats, and shameless lies, and the remaining 50% will be combat, including espionage, sabotage, coughing up blood, abduction, infiltration, getting tortured, interrogation, thievery, and losing a finger or three. It is for ages of 18+ only. We will play weekly, with each session lasting 3 hours, but the day and time period written in the listing can be changed a little to accomodate everyone comfortably. I can run the game on either Saturday or on Sunday, starting at anytime between 1PM to 8PM (GMT+3). System is Scum & Villainy ; an easy-to-learn, flexible system where fiction and narrative are most important. If you have a specific talent or skill for your character, I am more than happy to homebrew them with you to bring your concept to life. You won't need any rule books, you may focus on your roleplaying in peace. We will be using Roll20 for maps & dices, and Discord for voice chat.
