How do you (a) make it so custom races can increase ability scores, and (b) provide level specific and always prepared spells to custom subclasses, such as for cleric?

I'm trying to create a custom races that adds a +1 to wisdom and a +2 to dexterity, but I think I'm doing something wrong as the ability Scores when creating the character don't seem to change. I also am trying to recreate the Tempest Domain subclass but don't know how to include the always prepared spells cleric subclasses provide.

Yes, this is for the D&D 5th Edition. I'm new to this site so I don't quite understand the question. Are you asking if I'm making a character for the 2014 version or 2024 version?

Hi Drakenbrine, There are over 1000 different character sheets across 300+ game systems on Roll20. D&D 5e has around a dozen different character sheets. To answer your question we need the name of the sheet, or a screenshot of the sheet for identification.

In the 2024 rules races do not add bonuses to ability scores, backgrounds do.&nbsp; With that said, when doing a custom race you can add ability score boosts.&nbsp; Add a new feature, Name it, set it to level 1 (or whatever level you want), give it a description. Click +Add Click Ability Score Total Set the Ability to the desired ability score Set the behavior to Modify Set the Mode to Flat Value Set the value to 1 or 2 Click Apply.&nbsp;
