Dice Rolling in Mods - Out Of Curiosity, Why Do Mods Change to Not Support 3d Dice?

Not an urgent question. I remember in 2020, APIs did support rolling of 3d dice. I had the following in an old script I started earlier that year and the last argument, {use3d: true}, was to allow 3d dice to roll: sendChat(sender, message, null, {use3d: true}); message contained the roll commands. I was delighted with this and then in the Summer off 2020, it died. My script worked, but no 3d dice. There were a few inquiries about it from other folks, like me - https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9017606/slug%7D - but no one seemed to have any answers. It happened right after an update focused on dynamic lighting. 6 years later, does anyone know what happened? There really seemed to be an air of conspiratorial silence from the Roll20 team, LOL
Hmmmmmmm...... Intrigue!

So, the 3d dice were always kind of a "gimmick" and never really seemed like a feature that Roll20 devs put any priority on enhancing. I'm a little surprised they still exist, other than maybe it would be too much effort to get rid of them completely, and if they disappeared completely, I'd expect to not hear much from the devs about it.

I’ve been here since 2014, a Pro subscriber since 2015, and I’ve never used or cared for 3D dice.

I find with my friends, both computer illiterate and literate, that the dice and sound it makes the VTT more "real" for them. Also, some of them are too stunned (as we say where we are all from) to look at the chat menu. We started in 1978 with the blue Holmes beginner set. Currently spending a lot of time to tie in macros - which do roll the dice - with my API/Mod scripts.
