Purchase the bare minimum of what you need and will use. And Roll20, for the love of God(s) or whatever you hold holy...make it easier to organize assets both inside and outside the game. Totally agree Trust me when I say everyone who works at Roll20 (and our amazing Forum Champs like Gauss) feels this pain, since we own every title on the Marketplace. Work to improve asset management is on our Public Roadmap in the "in Discussion" column. That said, I can't give you a timeline today. It's a huge, complex project, and some of the work already in progress or scheduled soon will help set scaffolding for that work + unblock some of the more complicated aspects of the project. That might not be the answer you want, but I can at least confirm that we're currently working out the best approach, not whether or not to do it.
