Hi! A small group of us, currently one GM and one player, are looking for one or two male players to round us out and hopefully become part of a regular, static group. We’ll most likely be starting out with Star Wars, but the bigger idea here isn’t to build a group around one campaign and then scatter to the winds when it’s over. We’d really like to find a couple of people we click with, make a solid little party, and explore different games, systems, settings, and stories together. Star Wars today, something completely different tomorrow. We’re pretty open as long as everyone is having fun. Games can be live on Roll20 or play-by-post, depending on what we’re playing and what works for everyone. We enjoy RP quite a bit, so we’re definitely interested in more than running from combat encounter to combat encounter. We like getting invested in the setting, developing characters and relationships, exploring the world, getting into trouble, making questionable decisions, having quieter character moments, laughing at stupid things that happen along the way, and generally taking advantage of everything a setting has to offer. Combat is great. So is everything that happens between the fights. More than anything, we’re looking for people who are easygoing, friendly, creative, and actually enjoy playing with other people. You don’t need to know every rule, have twenty years of tabletop experience, or arrive with a perfectly optimized character and a twelve-page backstory. We’d much rather have someone enthusiastic who contributes, gives other characters room to shine, gets invested in everyone’s stories, and can laugh when the dice decide tonight is apparently not their night. Since the goal is a static group, we’re also hoping to find people who want to stick around beyond a single campaign. Obviously real life happens, schedules change, and nobody is signing a blood oath here. We just like the idea of building a comfortable little group where we eventually know each other’s playstyles and can go, “Okay, what are we playing next?” We’re pretty relaxed people ourselves, and that’s the atmosphere we want to keep. No weird competitiveness, no main-character Olympics, no treating the game like a second job. Come hang out, make characters we get attached to, explore some cool worlds, occasionally make our GM regret giving us free will, and have a good time.
