Players dragging invisible tokens to a map unless it's Legacy or blank space, maybe

Bit of a weird one, this. I have a template game with all my various one-shots, set up exactly as I like them. When I copy it for use, if a player drags a token onto the board the token is invisible. It can still be selected, just not seen. I can see it as GM and sometimes if I move it around it becomes visible to the player. It also becomes visible if the player refreshes the browser. I have a ton of AoE tokens and specific spell tokens for the players to access, so obviously this is an issue. It even happens if a player creates their character themselves and drags it onto the map. And, perhaps most worryingly, it makes a card dragged from the safety deck invisible to the player.  Troubleshooting carried out: All APIs disabled, thinking I would add back in until it failed, but it failed from the get-go. I even copied the game without any APIs and the same thing happened Thought it might have been putting things behind the map image, or a lighting issue, so I created a completely blank page with no Dynamic Lighting - still failed (sometimes) Went back to template version of the game, found that the problem exists in there (never noticed before as I never had players or player tokens in there Went back to older version of the template game, in Legacy - problem NOT present, works fine Copied from older (Legacy) version to a new version (latest engine), problem IS present Copied from older (Legacy version to a new version (Legacy) - it is fine! Copied into newer version with just pages being copied and nothing else - problem IS present. So it looks to me like it's a problem with the new engine. BUT if I create a new game with NO content using the new engine, immediately switch to player mode and create a character, I can drag it on and the token is visible. No easy diagnosis here, thank you very much lol I went back to my copy, got the player to drag the token on (it was invisible) and then as GM, I went to the map layer and forced the map image to the back. It brought the token to visibility for the user! So I thought I would try moving the map image up so that the bottom half of the page is blank. Now, dragging to the map part failed, but dragging to the blank part worked. And that sometimes makes the one dragged to the map part work as well. Head hurting yet? Even better, if, as a player, I drag onto a map with Dynamic Lighting, I can see exactly what my token can see, but not the token. Any ideas? I am happy to host anyone who wants to see it in action, and also share my screen through Discord or Meets if necessary. Thanks in advance Gareth the Perplexed

Hi Gareth,  First, can you clear cookies and cache?  Doing so will eliminate the possibility that this is a browser hallucination (cached version of an image that is not loading or is deleted).  If it is still present in the games where it was present before then I suggest we meet in a call. You can find me in the Roll20 Discord server under the "Champion of Roll20" category.
Hi and thanks for the reply Cookies and cache cleared with no joy, I'm afraid. Sorry about the delay replying, my sleep pattern is a bit all over the place at the moment. Can you let me know when you're next "on duty" in Discord? Thanks again

For anyone following, this appears to be an issue with Enable Performance Enhancements (EPE) where EPE is causing the token ( on the token layer ) to appear under the map image on the map layer. If you are experiencing this turn off EPE until such a time as it is fixed.
