I've DMed several campaigns over the past year: one in-person and a little online. A permanent ban from Discord (thanks, Dad) and summer break (no school D&D club) mean that I haven't played for a bit, but would love to start again. I am pretty flexible with times as long as it's over the weekend. I pretty much don't have much figured out as of now, honestly. Personally, I like to first meet the interested players to schedule a time and understand what they dis/like in a game. Here are some non-negotiables, though: * Text-only. * Set during normal-ish waking hours in the US (GMT-4 to GMT-7). * Both minors and adults welcome (in case it hasn't been clear, I am under 18). * No use of AI for making character art or formulating RP responses. * Patience with newer players and no excessive rules-lawyering. * Weekly or bi-weekly (either every other week or twice a week). Player's choice. * Sessions are 3-4 hours. If everyone wants to play a specific prewritten adventure, fine by me! Otherwise, I can homebrew a campaign based on player preferences. Here's a bit on my playing style: * Leans towards roleplay-heavy. Think 60% roleplay, 25% puzzle, and 15% combat (unless I need to tweak for player preference) * Fairly relaxed about rules--they're there and I make use of them, but I don't always follow them perfectly. * Gives walls of descriptive text sometimes (though I can tone it down if you need). What software will we use? * VTT: will put it up to a vote between Roll20's, Owlbear Rodeo, and FreeVTT * Communication: Stoat but am open to (non-Discord) alternatives.
