[LFDM] [DnD5.5] Group of Four Seeks DM Sun/Mon/Tues Evenings

Hello! My name is Moony! I'm posting on behalf of myself [they/them] and three of my friends, Sammy [she/her], Julia [she/her], and Irwegwert [he/him]. We're a role-play focused group with many years of experience. Play sessions would ideally start at around 3-5pm pst and run no later than 8pm pst. Preference of a high-fantasy setting, with little to no horror. We're largely pretty good at the system, especially Weggy who is a human rule book (but he's also really chill and nice). We're hoping for a regular weekly/biweekly, long running campaign. We're used to playing via voice on Discord with Roll20 maps/character sheets. The four of us are all some variety of LBGT; you don't need to be but obviously you'll need to be chill with that.  We can promise high plot engagement, strong role play, fun characters, and treating your npcs and world like they matter. I might be interested but here's the thing: - I'm an adult and would not be comfortable running a table for a group of kids: no offence but that would seem kind of creepy - Any fantasy world I use (I'm thinking Revenge of the Drow campaign) would be quite gritty, although it is  magic world - I'd be using the 2014 rules (free on the site) as I don't like the current rules, as it's virtually impossible to die and everything is made too easy  - Sex etc is all off camera and not really part of the game: it's an adventure game - I don't use pronouns, as I don't regard anyone as special enough to deserve individualised ones. He or she. But we'll be using character names anyway, as its a lot easier for me to remember when I don't really know the players. - NPCs are medieval type people with medieval type attitudes to most things. The world isn't modern California/ London etc - I'm a GM of the 'Harsh but Fair' type. Stupidity will likely get you killed. Discuss and accept/ reject as needed, but do let me know.

Meant to reply to this but let it slip my mind for a few reasons, but as for introduction: I'm Grey and been a DM and player for a decade. I'm occasionally motivated to expand my play groups, I play with people all across the spectrum and I've been fortunate enough for them all to be respectful of one another (granted for the most part they're all friends before they arrive at the table, but they've been equally welcoming and respectful to new faces who jump in.) Y'all seem like cool peoples and I'm thankful that you have your own group that you can retreat to when you need space, since these games are about community and it's difficult to be the odd one out. I'd be so down to run adventures with y'all, but only if you'd allow me into a space that you all control before I allow you into spaces I'm trusted to keep sheltered. As for the type of games I run: I've primarily done long form campaigns in a homebrew sandbox world I based off of the MMO Black Desert Online, so high fantasy stuff. The setting has a built in [catastrophe] that happens every so often, kind of in the background, which allows me to run strictly character driven adventures. When I run one off adventures they're typically in the same world, but they lose the character driven aspects. In all cases I usually provide context behind the character creation choices to make those characters feel like they existed in the world before you put a spotlight on them. The few disconnects: - Certainly not in the running right now for leading a full ongoing campaign. - I've made a decision to stick with 5e for D&amp;D. I've adopted some changes that 2024 introduced, but I don't feel right paying for the 5.5e resource books (of largely identical content) due to circumstances . - Probably not actually an issue, but "little to no horror" is vague. But easy enough to be discussed. - I'd expect you to be able to play alongside players you don't recognize.&nbsp; If these points don't immediately disqualify me then you can DM me or whateva and I can hopefully get a chance to chat with the whole group.
