New Campaign! Cradle of the Chronowyrm! [Daggerheart/D&D 5e]

Time is a delicate, finicky thing. The inhabitants of the Timespun Sands know that better than anyone, having lived through more chrono-crises than a serpopard has spots. In the long, turbulent, and frequently altered history of their home, they have endured disastrous harvests where the crops regressed to seeds, wars waged between kingdoms long-extinct and yet to be founded, and - worst of all - a tax season that repeated five times in a single year. But they’ve never had to deal with time simply ending. What happens when one of the building blocks of reality crumbles to dust? When yesterday fades forever and tomorrow refuses to arrive? When the clock runs out for everyone, everywhere, all at once? Let’s hope you won’t have to find out. Tone & Feel: Adventurous, Comedic, Heroic, Timey-Wimey and Wibbly-Wobbly Themes: Body horror, creature dissection, death, disability, insects, paradoxes, time travelling -# TTRPG veterans (regardless of what system!) preferred, but new players are welcome as well. Game Details Long Term Campaign based on the Loot Tavern kickstarter book "Zaman's Guide to the End of Time (and How to Fix It)" Discover and battle epic threats - sometimes even before they've emerged! Travel through time and prevent (or cause!) paradoxes with the game's very own Paradox System This game is based on playtest material for the not yet unreleased campaign "Cradle of the Chronowyrm"; for a D&D version of this game, the book has new species, subclasses, as well as a very fresh take on the popular idea of a Gunner class. System: Your game, your choice - I will either run this in D&D (5 / 5.5e) or in Daggerheart - the table, once assembled, will choose which they prefer! Schedule: Weekly (for ~3 hours, with a 10-15 minute break in the middle) Day/Time: First Session 0 will be on September 13th for the D&D version of this game and Septermber 3rd for the Daggerheart game! Both at 7AM EST (Timezone conversion chart: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20260830T110000&p1=179&p2=37&p3=240 ) group decides together which day of the week would be the best fit our hourly availability is visually displayed [here]( https://www.when2meet.com/?37876120-I4711 ), in your own time zone; we're trying to fit a 3 hour slot that works for all players into these first meeting would be *Session Zero*; if we don't get through character creation during that, we make characters together the week after and play the full campaign from there Payment: Paid Monthly via Patreon, ~17USD a week. Slots filled: 2/5 A word from the DM! I've been running for almost 25 years in a bunch of systems with an even bigger number of people. I run cinematic, fiction-first games that care about what my players care about. __My play-style might be for you if you: __ enjoy when your games make you feel like you're part of a novel or a movie or TV show like seeing your backstory become relevant in an arc of its own, or be connected to the greater story at large like being invited to the crafting of parts of the game (like a faction or your home town) enjoy collaborating with the DM against your other friends for maximum emotional damage are not disappointed if there is not a combat in every session This campaign might be for you if you: are a fan of time-traveling as a trope always wanted to play in a game that supports a cool gunner archetype you aren't scared of causing a little paradox - and suffering the consequences... How we play and what you're paying for! This game is hosted on the Dreamscape Adventures Discord Server where your payment for this game allows you to join any other paid game on the server for no additional cost. We have a number of professional, vetted GMs are always looking to hire more! Aloha! DM Daodras here. The Daggerheart version of this game has enough players to start and will have its Session 0 this week (though it's very easy in a time traveling campaign to join after that). Only 1 spot open! The D&D version of this game is still looking for more players to start! For our D&D fans: I am planning to run this as a 2024 game, though the players get to vote on whether they want 2024, 2014, or a mix thereof. Starting level for D&D is variable: Level 3, Level 8, Level 13. Players get to vote on this, too. We'll do that during Sessino Zero . Have any other questions? Feel encouraged to ask! Cheers, Dao
