Really there's no better way to put it. We were running Strixhaven but I have custom ship mechanics in my game. We managed to score an airship and also cause basically a civil war. We fled the scene but plan to return. We are currently aboard an airship on the way to Acheron, a land of criminals that have sought amnesty from the other kingdoms in the world of Carthacombe. We are going to continue alongside the Strixhaven homebrew I've been doing while also gathering allies to go back and take back what should be a free country. For now? We are heading into the story of Acheron. Acheron is filled with criminals who sought amnesty under the Queen of Athena. On the opposite side of the country is a man by the name of Mando the Mad King. He is permitted to rule those untameable lands in return for services occasionally. The players will be doing an arc about bringing down Mando and his madness in a steam punk style world that will allow us to gather allies and return to clear our names and save the Syndicate(Strixhaven) in our original starting location. For now though we are on an airship that is naviagating it's way to a coastal city where we are going to begin the arc. I am looking for long term players who are 18+. I'm 33 myself and the players are mid 20s. We are silly as heck. Lots of bits but they are smart enough to maintain the course of the story. I also have a homebrew Strahd if somebody wants to join on Saturday but there's already 6 players in there and everybody's on the verge of death. BUT I DIGRESS. I'm super cheesy. Play guitar and try to fit it in whenever I can. Learning to draw. Love creative endeavors and have been working on this custom world for 10 years now. Would love to find somebody that finds joy in stupid dad jokes and being silly alongside my players and myself. Also working on a fantasy series in the same world but it has nothing to do with the campaign because my players have completely blown up any method for me to tie the two stories together. Not judging, I'm the kind of DM who wants my players to throw me off and allow me to bring up all the 1000's of scenarios I am ready for to keep you all on your toes. Player stuff. Level 7 start. 1 free rare magic item attached to your backstory. A lot of lore to skim through and work with me to make a character. 3 backstory NPC's that I can work in. No evil characters allowed. There will be an interview process because we are looking for somebody that vibes with the silly but is also looking for a genuine long term campaign to expand on their own story. I'm also looking for someone who can talk over people when they want to get a word in. Sometimes my players get really excited by the situation but I will jump in and have to say "X, you were saying?" but they've gotten a lot better. Especially with new players, they will drag you into the convo kicking and screaming. So be prepared for some players who love you and a server filled with more lore than you can handle.
