Hello friends! As the title states, we are seeking another player for our brand new Carrion Crown campaign. This is a gothic horror campaign set in Ustalav. I will include the AP snippet right here: From the whispering shadows of haunted Ustalav an ancient evil rises to grip the world in a new age of horror! Amid the mists of this land of dark superstition and dread secrets stand both those who would defy the return of evil and those who would seek its terrible favor. Can the heroes discern their allies from their enemies in time to save a tortured realm from a tyrant's return? Pathfinder's darkest and most frightening campaign ever sets the heroes against the agents of Golarion's most notorious villain, the Whispering Tyrant, in a terrifying trek across a land of lurking horror and ancient mysteries. As it stands right now, we have four players, but we'd like to have one more just to further fill out the roster and ensure that we can always play even if a player misses a session or is late. We are a group of mostly older, mature players in our 30s and 40s. We are seeking a serious, dedicated player who will attend our 3 hours weekly sessions and will show up on time. Our group is highly role-play focused, with combat/mechanics taking more of a back seat compared to playing a character who has both their own story and can create a story collaboratively with the other players. The GM is a theater trained actor with a background in improv, so he is very, very good about weaving together stories for the PCs beyond just the written materials. Most of the people in this group have been playing together for many years, so if you're looking for a forever home, you could find it with us. Most of our campaigns, especially full APs, can take 2-4 years to finish depending on the AP. So please be sure you can commit to a long campaign before messaging. Do not worry overly much if you are new to Pathfinder 2E--or in general--because all of the players are new to this edition; we have played 1E for decades now though, so don't anticipate much trouble learning. But it's a good group to theoretically learn the system at the same time, so long as you are able to commit to the full campaign duration. Our goal is to have session zero this coming Sunday, 9/6 at the usual starting time of 4PM EST. We will do a meet and greet with the group on the same day so we can pick who it is will be joining us. It is unnecessary to have a character fully built by 9/6. The goal of session zero is for all the players to meet for the first time, talk about what ideas they have, and share potential avenues for integrating backstories to varying degrees. If all goes well, then we will start session one on the following Sunday, 9/13. If you are interested, please send me a private message with the answer to the following questions: 1) What is your experience with tabletop RPGs, collaborative storytelling, and/or theater/improv? 2) What is it you enjoy most about tabletop games? 3) What approach do you take to integrate into a group of people you have never played with before? 4)
We are a group that deeply enjoys our tabletop time each week and make
sure we secure that time for ourselves. We do schedule checks at the
end of each session and will proceed with a session if we are down only
one player. Can you commit to weekly game sessions? Do you have any concerns over playing in a long duration campaign? If you have any questions about the campaign, the group, or anything relevant, please feel free to reply to this post so that others might see the questions and potential answers. =) We look forward to hearing from you soon! =D
