Curse of Strahd: no Token Action Bars

Hi there, I bought Curse of Strahd and noticed, that no Token Action Bar of any Token Works. The Makros in the Character Sheet work quite fine. And nothing changes, when I add the classic 5e Character Sheet to the game. Any ideas?  Thanks in Advance und best regards Matthias

Hi Dungeon Master! Which addon did you add? The one for the 2014 sheet or the 2024 sheet? I just tested with a 2024 sheet game and the 2024 sheet add-on and the token actions are working for me.
Hi Keith, I add the 2024 Characer Sheet. But when I hit any button in the token action bar either nothin happens oor I get the information "Action is not possible". When I run the makro directly in the Character Sheet of the NPC it works. Any suggetions?  Thank you, Matthias

Dungeon Master said: I add the 2024 Characer Sheet. I got that. But which Addon did you add? There's a 2014 addon and a 2024 addon. The addon needs to be the proper one for that sheet.
Hi Keith, I’m afraid I’m not entirely sure I understand what you mean by ‘add-on’. Do you mean the game settings and the character sheet template selected there? I’ve selected the D&D 5E + 5.5E character sheet template. I’ve also selected the D&D 5.5 compendium system.   Is that the information you were referring to?  Thanks and best regards, Matthias

The updated Curse of Strahd is now an Addon, not a module. If you are creating a game using the old deprecated module, you will only have access to a version that does not use all of Roll20's modern features, like map pins and reactions. It will also have no idea what to do with the 2024 sheet. If you have purchased any version of CoS in the past, you should automatically have access to the newest versions. To create a new, fully modern game for Curse of Strahd: Create a new, empty game with the 2024 sheet. On the home page, before you launch, go to the dropdown for Addons. Choose "Curse of Strahd Addon (New Sheet) Launch game You should now have the correct version of Strahd for the newest sheet. All monsters and token actions should agree with each other.
Thanks to the instructions, I’ve now managed to install the relevant add-ons without any trouble. However, I’ve realised that this seems to be a more fundamental issue with Firefox, as the Token Action Bar still doesn’t work in Firefox, although it does work in Chrome. I’ve also noticed that the Token Action Bar no longer works for me in games where it previously worked without any issues. Thirdly, I’ve noticed that in Firefox, the players’ character sheets are greyed out and can no longer be accessed. All of this works fine in Chrome, though. Strange, isn’t it? Something seems to have changed since yesterday, so it’s probably not down to Curse of Strahd at all. What could be the issue with firefox?

Not sure what the issue might be. I went ahead and loaded Firefox for the first time in ages, and all token actions seemed to be working. There are somethings you can check. In firefox: Verify that you are loading the exact same game that you are testing in Chrome. Look at the URL when you are on the home screen. There is a string of digits after "details/". Make sure those match Make sure that you are using the same login credentials and testing on the same characters. If they still don't work in Firefox, delete cache and cookies for the site, log out, and then log back in. Make sure that Firefox is not set up to connect through a VPN. If after all that you are still getting unequal performance, the next step is to gather a Console Log ( Chrome , Firefox ) and file a  Help Center Request .
Okay, all right, I tested and compared this: 1) The browser string is completely identical. 2) I also cleared the cache, cookies in both Firefox and Chrome, logged in again, etc. No VPN.  3) With Chrome: In the game “Lost Mine of Phandelver,” everything seems to be working normally, just as before. In “Death House” and “CoS,” the Action Token Bar sometimes works, sometimes works partially (e.g., only the initiative), and sometimes doesn’t (message: “npc is not a supported action” or “Unable to find attribute with the name npc-name-flag”). The characters in the journal (NPCs and PCs) can be accessed. 4) With Firefox, everything remains unchanged: the Action Token Bar no longer works—neither in “Death House” nor in “CoS,” and now not even in “Lost Mines of Phandelver.” I’ve also noticed that the chat no longer starts with the usual “Chat Tips” (not even in a brand-new test game with no content). The character sheets in the Journal are greyed and not accesible. This also applies to some NPCs. 6) For older games in my account, cover images are suddenly missing in both Chrome and Firefox, and my account’s profile picture has also suddenly disappeared. I’ve since replaced it. 7) To rule out performance issues, I also tried a LAN connection—without success. Ok, I will contact the help center. Thank you!

Good luck! Let me know what they say, if you'd like. I am curious.
Hi Keith, it looks as though the protection tracking in my browser was responsible for the problem. It was set to be very restrictive. Perhaps my employer changed something there. Since I’ve added Roll20 as an exception, everything seems to be working normally again.  Thanks again to you too!
