Weird War II is a variant of 3rd/3.5 edition D&D that blends sci fi, magic/fantasy, and horror into an alternate WWII setting. We meet every other Sunday 7pm-9pm EST - next session is Oct 18 . The game is on Roll 20 and discord. We need 1 more player. Experience with 3rd/3.5 edition is helpful but not necessary. The players are a mixed group of Allied commandos in an alternate history. They landed in France on D-Day where they killed zombies and fought a Nazi wizard in a cemetery, blew up a secret weapons facility (V3 guns), and recovered the Bayeux Tapestry from the same Nazi wizard. They also have a jeep haunted by the spirit of General George Patton (KIA). They have completed advanced training with a secret Allied unit. They also operated in southern France in support of Operation Dragoon, the southern D-Day. They blew up an airfield and killed a Nazi werewolf. Then we transferred to Norway where they raided a Nazi nuclear lab and sabotaged a nuclear heavy water laboratory then destroyed a magical tower. We took a thematic tangent to the North Pole to save Christmas from the Krampus! Then they returned to Norway to attack a secret Nazi archeology outpost where they briefly recovered Sumarbrander, the sword of the Norse god Freyr, before Freyr's shield bearer Skirnir intervened. We have returned to Paris which has been recently liberated, where the players have tracked down some stay behind Nazi agents. They are currently fighting undead in the catacombs. The next mission will be to protect Gen. Charles de Gaulle from assassination. We have a squad NCO/combat engineer/artificer, a medic/chaplain (reskinned cleric), a Navy pilot, a scout/sniper and a scout/arcane archer. Grunt/fighter is the basic character class with many specialties (engineering, radio, mechanic, etc.). We are level 8 - with 5 levels in a basic military class (soldier, scout, etc) and 3 levels in a military or magical prestige class (wizard, sniper, spy, commando, etc). Message me directly if interested. The squad just lost its resistance agent / spy (reskinned rogue) which I have kept around as a GM PC, so if you want to test drive a character he is the best option. There are two versions of the game, we are using the NON Savage Worlds edition . I can share a PDF of the rules. There are several supplements for North Africa, Eastern Front, and Pacific Theaters.
